A veces le doy muchas vueltas a la cabeza, para hacer este tipo de publicaciones. Y tiene que ver con una práctica aprendida en @promo-mentors, cuando hice talleres de redacción, y está relacionada invariablemente a una pregunta sobre la trascendencia de cualquier conjunto de palabras a compartir: ¿Cuánto suma al conocimiento humano o al entretenimiento del lector, aquello que escribes? porque seamos francos, escribir sobre natación a menos que usted muestre los progresos en sus tiempos, es una de las cosas más aburridas que existen para el espectador. Si ya entregar trabajos basados en la pelota estadounidense, no es muy leído que digamos (un par de decenas, comparadas con las 5 decenas promedio de un post sobre HIVE), imaginen entonces hacer ejercicios mentales para entregar algo medianamente tragable a un feed que se interesa sobre acción deportiva ¿Difícil, no?

Sometimes I overthink before making these kinds of posts. It stems from a practice I learned at @promo-mentors during writing workshops, and it’s invariably tied to a question about the significance of any set of words you choose to share: How much does what you write contribute to human knowledge or the reader’s entertainment? Because let’s be honest—writing about swimming, unless you’re showing progress in your times, is one of the most boring things imaginable for the audience. If publishing work based on American ball sports isn’t exactly widely read (a couple dozen views compared to the five dozen average on a HIVE post), then imagine the mental gymnastics required to deliver something even remotely digestible to a feed that’s interested in sports action. Tough, right?
Pero aquí estamos comprometidos en diversificar, de vez en cuando, nuestros contenidos dentro de la comunidad @fulldeportes. Es otro de los mandamientos de llevar un blog: "Jamás te conviertas en monotemático" (Vaya, quien hubiera creído que tales lecciones en esos talleres escalarían mi talante). Cuando usted se vuelve monotemático, la sospecha puede recaer en usted, dado que la doctrina "Prueba de cerebro" (POB) podría saltar por los aires, cuando quienes le leen comienzan a pensar que el autor se anda ayudando con IA para mantener las apariencias. Y eso, estimado creador, sería su ruina. Así que un par de oraciones políticamente incorrectas o textos sobre su vida personal la mar de aburridos, harán correr o ventilar tales sospechas ¿Piensan lo útil e intrascendente de tal práctica, para mantener a todos alineados sobre que usted es un gran escritor de pendejadas y no alguien que hace trampa en HIVE? Reflexione sobre ello.

But here we are, committed to occasionally diversifying our content within the @fulldeportes community. It’s another commandment of running a blog: “Never become one-dimensional” (Who would’ve thought those workshop lessons would shape my mindset so deeply). When you become one-dimensional, suspicion can fall on you, since the “Proof of Brain” (POB) doctrine might blow up if readers start thinking the author is relying on AI to keep up appearances. And that, dear creator, would be your downfall. So a couple of politically incorrect sentences or painfully boring texts about your personal life might help dispel or air out those suspicions. Think about how useful yet trivial that practice is, just to keep everyone aligned with the idea that you’re a great writer of nonsense and not someone cheating on HIVE. Reflect on that.
Por supuesto, la capacidad de burlarse públicamente de sí mismo, es un recurso válido e importante que tenemos quienes escribimos. De otro modo ¿Quién se acercará a leer vuestras aburridas letanías? Bromas aparte, a lo que venimos: La semana pasada retomamos nuestro entrenamiento en la natación. Para conseguir un sitio decente y económico, recorrimos casi toda la geografía de la ciudad y visitamos muchas instalaciones. Algunas están impagables por aquello de que los clubes están en problemas económicos y quieren arrecostarse en los nuevos "miembros" Todo un abuso de marca mayor y que solo lo podrá arreglar la baja demanda. Sin embargo, conseguimos un sitio acomodado a nuestro presupuesto y con unas instalaciones medianamente decentes (nada parecido al "Estrella de Maldonado", de la hermosa Buenos Aires, pero es lo que hay). "Casa de los Andes" se llama el club y queda en una avenida de alto tránsito en la ciudad de Maracay.

Of course, the ability to publicly make fun of oneself is a valid and important tool for those of us who write. Otherwise, who would bother reading your boring rants? Jokes aside, let’s get to it: Last week we resumed our swim training. To find a decent and affordable spot, we scouted nearly the entire city and visited many facilities. Some are outrageously priced because the clubs are facing financial issues and trying to lean on new “members.” A major abuse that only low demand will eventually fix. Still, we found a place that fits our budget and has moderately decent facilities (nothing like the “Estrella de Maldonado” in beautiful Buenos Aires, but it’ll do). The club is called “Casa de los Andes” and it’s located on a busy avenue in the city of Maracay.
Ya les he contado sobre como me siento cuando nado. Es increíblemente retador, pero indefectiblemente relajante. Acompasar la brazada con la respiración es algo que nos desconecta con el mundo y eso es un descanso mental que ayuda a vuestra salud corporal. Jamás tomo el tiempo, ni la cantidad de metros recorridos. Solo diré que la semana pasada fue dura y ayer ya pudimos casi regresar al ritmo que sostuvimos en Buenos Aires. Una semana más y estaremos de nuevo nadando sin parar (algo que nos convierte en nadadores de fondo y no de velocidad, tal como siempre ha sido nuestro perfil). La próxima vez que les traiga aburrimiento, ya debería no estar haciendo las tres detenciones para retomar aire, que es lo mínimo a lo que hemos llegado en éste período de adaptación. Les iba a contar porqué había dejado la piscina, pero por dios..! El aburrimiento tiene que acabar por falta de espacio..!

I’ve already told y’all how I feel when I hit the water—it’s a helluva grind, but man, it’s straight-up therapeutic. Syncing your stroke with your breathing pulls you outta the noise of the world, and that mental breather does wonders for your physical game. I never clock my laps or count the yardage. All I’ll say is last week was a tough inning, but yesterday we were nearly back to the pace we held in Buenos Aires. Give it another week and we’ll be cruising again, no breaks—more like a long-distance swimmer than a sprinter, which has always been our scouting report. Next time I bring y’all this snoozefest, I should be past the three-breath stops, which is the bare minimum we’ve hit during this adjustment stretch. I was gonna tell you why I benched the pool for a while, but come on now..! We’re outta room and this boredom’s gotta get the hook..!
