En el estadio Monumental de Maturín, La Vinotinto se le presentó una de las primeras oportunidades para estar en el próximo mundial y repetiré sobre la presión que causa esa realidad que debe enfrentar este equipo y que lamentablemente no sabe lidiar; esa presión creó un innecesario nerviosismo que en los primeros minutos generó tranquilidad en el seleccionado boliviano que tenía un plan de esperar, presionar al medio campo venezolano y perder el tiempo, un plan correcto sabiendo que el equipo local no genera muchas ocasiones y que repito, tiene la presión de ganar para mantener el séptimo puesto; el plan de juego por parte de Bolivia se derrumba en el momento en que esa tranquilidad o hasta puedo decir, esa sensación de superioridad influye en el error que terminó por el autogol boliviano que los puso por debajo del marcador en tan solo 5 minutos de juego; ese fallo boliviano o la suerte venezolana cambio de manera radical el juego al momento de emparejar la presión y el miedo de perder de ambos equipos lo cual terminó al momento en que Salomón Rondón anotó el segundo gol para Venezuela que hundió aún más al rival y que prácticamente los dejaba con nula posibilidad de obtener un resultado positivo en suelo venezolano.

Hubo un momento en la transmisión televisiva venezolana, en dónde los comentaristas señalaron que La Vinotinto jugó “Sin Fallas”, existe cierta verdad al decir eso porque se ganó un importante encuentro contra un rival directo, pero la realidad es que si existieron muchos fallos y la diferencia está en que la suerte por fin estuvo del lado de Venezuela y que el rival sucumbió y se desmotivó enormemente al ver cómo sus posibilidades de clasificar disminuyeron. La Vinotinto sigue fallando en la mentalidad competitiva y lamentó que muchos jugadores no vean al “Brujo” Martínez como un ejemplo a seguir, en ese encuentro demostró liderazgo, actitud y entrega para alcanzar el objetivo y lamento que desde el cuerpo técnico se siga cometiendo errores en esquema y uso de jugadores que no potencian al equipo, fallos hubo y que “por suerte” no ocasionaron una derrota para Venezuela, pero estoy convencido de que contra otros rivales si se siguen practicando esa manera errónea de jugar se puede dificultar por mucho el sueño de clasificar al mundial y más cuando todavía falta por enfrentar a Uruguay, Argentina y Colombia; esperemos que los jugadores tengan la mentalidad competitiva para traer una necesaria alegría al país.
