La atracción es una técnica basada en sacrificar parte tú material, atraer, es hacer que el otro jugador se sienta cómodo al obtener una ventaja de material. Las leyes naturales del ajedrez nos ayudan a colocar las piezas de nuestro oponente donde las queremos. En la mayoría de los casos, la atracción se puede desestimar si la denegación es grave, es decir, si a simple vista se nuestro plan. Si no puede eliminar la amenaza, lo mejor es encontrar una forma de eliminarla primero, es decir, adelantarse a esa jugada. La mejor de las atracciones (y la más efectiva) es la atracción del rey, porque se ve en la obligación de capturar piezas, pues no debe dejarse atacar fácilmente. Para ejemplicar esto, les muestro una partida donde estoy totalmente perdido e intento como último recurso, esta táctica de atracción, resultando como ganador teniendo una pieza de menos, sin embargo, es gracias a la fácil ejecución de este plan y además con la ayuda del rival, pues en ajedrez para que tú puedas ganar debes aprovechar los errores que tú oponente pueda cometer.
