Saludos amigos de Hive y la comunidad Full Deportes, les comento que tuve el privilegio de ver la clasificación del equipo de las Águilas del Zulia al Round Robin en diciembre, una experiencia única y maravillosa para mí carrera; un sueño cumplido. Fue en ese momento cuando me di cuenta lo afortunada que soy de vivir momentos como estos por ser periodista y reportera de campo, todo por escoger el deporte como mi rama favorita.

El béisbol es una de mis pasiones y estar presente en el estadio Luis Aparicio esa noche, fue como vivir lo que por años solo ví por televisión, resulta que hoy, esa periodista que reporta desde el terreno de juego soy yo.

Más allá de eso, en los juegos de Round Robin, fui a la mayoría de esos encuentros importantes del equipo, teniendo la satisfacción de entrevistar al mismo tiempo a Lipso Nava, ganador del premio Alfonso "Chico" Carrasquel al Mánager del Año temporada 2024-2025, quien llevó al conjunto zuliano a la postemporada después de cuatro años de ausencia.

Ahora me tocó despedirme de la temporada con el equipo de las Águilas, que fue eliminado en casa y sus últimas presentaciones no fueron las mejores, ya que los errores y el picheo no estaban respondiendo, y cuando el picheo aparecía, los bates se apagaron, pero esto es béisbol. Aún sigue viva la LVBP con esa gran final entre Bravos de Margarita y Cardenales de Lara.

Es una lástima lo que pasó con los aguiluchos en el Round Robin. Parecía que tenían todo a su favor: una nómina de lujo con jugadores como Jackson Chourio, Andrés Chaparro, Rougned Odor, José Pirela y Freddy Galvis. ¡Ese lineup sonaba temible! Y además, el equipo venía con la moral en alto después de clasificar a la postemporada tras cuatro años.

Pero como bien se dice por ahí, el Round Robin es un formato muy cruel. Es una especie de mini-torneo donde cualquier resbalón puede costar caro. La racha negativa de cuatro derrotas consecutivas que tuvieron los aguiluchos, les afectó muchísimo. Y si a eso le sumamos que los refuerzos tomados en el draft no rindieron como se esperaba, pues el panorama se complica aún más.

Es curioso cómo el rendimiento de un equipo puede cambiar tan drásticamente de una fase a otra. En la ronda regular, los aguiluchos lucían imparables, pero en el Round Robin las cosas no les salieron como querían. Parece que los errores y la falta de fluidez en el juego fueron los principales factores que los perjudicaron.

Las estadísticas del pitcheo son bastante reveladoras. Un promedio de 4.03 para los abridores y 5.37 para los relevistas los colocaba en un punto medio entre los cinco equipos. No eran números desastrosos, pero tampoco eran los mejores. Y en estas instancias, cualquier pequeña diferencia puede marcar la diferencia entre ganar y perder.

En fin, es una situación que nos demuestra que en el béisbol, como en la vida, las cosas no siempre salen como uno las planea. A veces, el equipo que mejor pinta tiene no es el que finalmente se lleva la gloria.

Greetings friends of Hive and the Full Deportes community, I would like to tell you that I had the privilege of seeing the Águilas del Zulia team qualify for the Round Robin in December, a unique and wonderful experience for my career; a dream fulfilled. It was at that moment when I realized how fortunate I am to live moments like these for being a journalist and field reporter, all because I chose sports as my favorite field.

Baseball is one of my passions and being present at the Luis Aparicio stadium that night, was like living what for years I only saw on television, it turns out that today, that journalist reporting from the field is me.

Beyond that, in the Round Robin games, I went to most of those important games of the team, having the satisfaction of interviewing at the same time Lipso Nava, winner of the Alfonso "Chico" Carrasquel award for Manager of the Year for the 2024-2025 season, who took the Zulian team to the postseason after four years of absence.

Now it was my turn to say goodbye to the season with the Águilas team, who were eliminated at home and their last performances were not the best, since the errors and the pitching were not responding, and when the pitching appeared, the bats went out, but this is baseball.
