El día de hoy vamos a sumergirnos un poco en lo que es la historia del fútbol mundial, esto para qué vayamos aprendiendo sobre este deporte tan interesante y apasionante para todos los que lo practicamos, porque el futbol es eso “Pura Pasión”. Según las investigaciones realizadas en busca del origen del futbol, el nacimiento del futbol se da en el año 1863 , ya que es él año en el qué se Funda la Asociación Inglesa de Futbol, aunque sus orígenes se remontan varios siglos atrás. Es en 1863 en la ciudad de Londres donde se oficializaron las primeras reglas del fútbol.
These early rules showed a simple field of play: a rectangle with a maximum length of 200 yards (about 183 meters) and a maximum width of 100 yards (91.5 meters). The four corners were marked with flags and neither touch lines nor goal lines were painted. The goal consisted of two vertical posts separated by 8 yards (7.32 meters) with no tape or crossbar joining them. The height of the goalposts was not determined.
Estás primeras reglas mostraban un terreno de juego simple: un rectángulo cuyo largo máximo era de 200 yardas (unos 183 mts) y su ancho máximo 100 yardas (91,5 metros). Las cuatro esquinas se marcaban con banderines y no se pintaban ni las líneas de banda, ni las de meta. La portería constaba de dos postes verticales separados por 8 yardas (7,32 metros) sin ninguna cinta o travesaño que los uniera. La altura de los mismos no estaba determinada.

Cabe destacar que a lo largo de los años estas reglas se fueron cambiando y perfeccionando hasta llegar a las reglas internacionales de futbol que conocemos el día de hoy. Uno de los códigos con mas influencia en las reglas modernas es el de Sheffield este código se fundo el 24 de octubre de 1855 y aportó varias de las reglas actualmente conocidas, como: la utilización de un travesaño de material sólido para unir los postes verticales de la portería, la introducción de los saques de esquina, los tiros libres tras recibir una falta y los saques de banda, los primeros partidos con iluminación artificial y los sistemas de desempate, incluida la noción de prorroga y el gol de oro.
Soccer gradually spread to the rest of the European countries at the end of the 19th century, being the first to receive it in the central zone, Denmark and the Netherlands, both in 1889, which in turn were the first to form their associations.

El fútbol se fue extendiendo paulatinamente al resto de los países europeos a finales del siglo XIX, siendo los primeros en recibirlo los de la zona central, Dinamarca y los Países Bajos, ambos en 1889, a su vez estos fueron los primeros en formar sus asociaciones. Por otra parte en América del Sur la primera liga en formarse fue la de Argentina, fundada en 1891. Paulatinamente el juego se fue expandiendo a otros países, como fue el caso de Paraguay a comienzos del siglo XX. En 1901 Uruguay y Argentina se enfrentaron por primera vez, siendo éste el primer partido internacional fuera de las Islas Británicas; este clásico se convirtió en el encuentro internacional más jugado de la historia del fútbol. Desde entonces el fútbol ha tenido un crecimiento constante, hasta llegar a ser el deporte más popular del mundo con unas 270 millones de personas involucradas al día.
As an important fact I should mention that: The realization of the first meeting of the Board of the International Football Association was held in the year 1886 and the founding of FIFA in 1904, this sport has expanded to reach all corners of the world and from 1930 begins to dispute "The World Cup of Football", which has become the sporting event with the largest audience in the world.
Como dato importante debo mencionarles que: La realización de la primera reunión de la Junta de la Asociación Internacional de Futbol fue llevada a cabo en el año 1886 y la fundación de la FIFA en 1904, este deporte se ha expandido hasta llegar a todos los rincones del mundo y partir de 1930 se comienza a disputar “La Copa Mundial de Fútbol”, la cual se ha convertido en el evento deportivo con mayor audiencia del mundo.
