I have been on Hive for months now, and i came to realize that only very few Nigerians are on Hive, and even majority have never heard of it before. So i decided to host a space on x where i can onboard Nigerians into the Freedom Blockchain (Hive).
I first began by tweeting about the event and sharing the flier on socials. I created a WhatsApp group where i can gather the people interested in geting started so they can always reach me anytime and also be well informed about my upcoming space, time and date.
On the 17th of May, 2025, a date and time for the event was fixed, which was 24th (Yesterday). I also decided to gift out 50 $Hive tokens to 5 random individuals, and i was so exicted to do this because it really was my little way of appreciating the participants.
THE HIVE SPACE PROPER:
In the evening of May 24th, i was on my way home, excited about my upcoming space and how i will be onboarding people into the ecosystem. The space was supposed to begin by exactly 8pm WAT, but by 7:55pm WAT, i wasn't even close to the house. I began worrying, thinking of how many persons will be waiting to join the space by exactly 8pm WAT. I had to tweet, notifying everyone that the space may likely begin by 8:30pm WAT instead of 8pm on the dot. I was a bit releaved,and less worried, since i was certain that everyone will understand with me.
I finally arrived home by 8:28pm WAT and i didn't even wait to pull my clothes or even freshen-up, i ran immediately towards my desk and began the Space on x.

It all was going smoothly and i sincerely was impressed by the number of persons who attended my first ever space about Hive. It was indeed encouraging. While everyone was still enjoying the space and listening to the amazing opportunities #Hive has for them, my network began fluctuating, my voice began to crack and people began calling on me and hopefully waiting for my network to get better, unfortunately it got worse.
And all of a sudden, while the second speaker was still speaking, the space got rugged (ended), and this wasn't part of the plan, i didn't even summarize, niether did i select the winners for the giveaway.
I kinda almost felt bad again, tho it wasn't a nice experience for first-timers, i just had to hold myself and became my very own encouragement and even that of my team, speakers and those who were on the space (Listeners).
I began thinking, and contempleting, "How i wish i had a Starlink, this issues wouldn't come up", i had to move on to the next event which was giveaway and worried less about the space, since i knew i shared at least 50% core/ basic info. about the #Hive blockchain.
I then tweeted that i will be select the winners randomly and will announce and disburse their prizes in the next 24hrs.
Then as at yesterday night, around 11:28pm WAT, i tweeted the names of the lucky winners on x and tagged them as well, tho three of them were already big users on the #Hive blockchain, which were (@roswelborges, @finpulse @shiftrox ), and i was happy to gift them the little i had, it was an honour that they recieved it with thanks.
Today, few hours ago, i sent the rewards to all the winners,and as usual, the speed at which it was processed was next to none, which reminded me that #Hive is indeed the best and fastest blockchain ever.
After giving out the rewards successfully, i had so many persons on our WhatsApp community asking me to make a thread on how to get started on #Hive.
So i had to make to make a comprehensive thread which contained series of video guides on "How to create an account", "How to make a post" and "The importance of Hive Keys", and these videos were gotten from Youtube and from different creators, including a guide vidoe make by @skatehive on how skaters can post in their community via peakD interface. The feedback i got was indeed a massive one, they all testified the thread helped them.
I'm indeed happy to begin this onboarding process with Nigerians, I won't stop untill we have at least one #Hive blockchain user and believer in every family in Nigeria. My next onboarding session will be a physical one where i will educate amd onboard youths in several locations in my state into the Freedom Blockchain, they all need to be Free from centralied systems and socials fr.
