The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines wellbeing as a state of being happy, healthy or prosperous. I'll put it that wellbeing is concerned with nearly all aspects of our lives - the mental or intellectual, emotional, occupational, physical, social and spiritual aspects. To answer the first question of the Hive and Wellness challenge which says:
Is Hive part of your well-being, in what way?
From my knowledge of what well-being means and all it entails, yes, Hive is a part of my well-being in many aspects. To give a summary of it and for easy illustration, I made the image on Canva.
Hive is a part of my occupational well-being. This is obviously because I get rewarded for the creativity I put out. I am just a youth and a student who is still living with my parents and since I do not have a degree yet, I'm not eligible for lots of job opportunities but because Hive has no such limitation, I am able to work on the Blockchain and this has helped me to be financially independent.
Hive has also enhanced and improved my social well-being. As I have given myself the task, daily I go through different communities, interact with different authors, publish my writings and get involved with what is going on on the Blockchain.
The Blockchain enables each and everyone one of us to share our experiences and relate with people from different countries with different cultures all over the globe. This promotes unity and socialization among "Hiveans".
On my intellectual well-being, Hive has expanded my sense of creativity and this is another indisputable fact. Due to warnings against plagiarism and emphasis on originality on the Blockchain rather than trying to copy people's work I have learnt to be creative. I learnt to make designs, logos, flyers on Canva through Hive. Before Hive, I never knew what Canva was. Through writing prompts and challenges I learn to write creatively too and I feel good about these developments.
Hive has expanded my knowledge and has inculcated the habit of reading and researching in me. I was already a reader but I have become a much better one through Hive. I have stated how I didn't know about Canva till I saw lots of people stating that they created their images on Canva. In the same manner, whenever I come across things I do not understand, be it topics or words. This way my intellectual well-being is improved.
It's possible for someone to think that Hive has nothing to do with my emotions but it does? How do I feel when I'm able to be a part of writing challenges and I do well? How do I feel when someone asks what I do as a side hustle to make money and I can proudly say Hive, how do I feel when I'm sad or confused about stuff and I put it out here and other people on the Blockchain give me their opinion and support? How do I feel when I can share my thoughts without being condemned or mocked on the Blockchain? Hive makes me feel good, happy, contented, not depressed, it gives me a sense of focus, the love, support and encouragement is great and this goes a long way in adding to my emotional well-being.
Imagine you are "selling" Hive to a group of friends: What emotions related to well-being would you focus on and why? What message would you share with them?

If I am selling Hive to a group of friends, I'd focus on the emotions of contentment and happiness. The reason is because this is one of the major feelings related to well-being that a lot of people crave. Also, in order to sell something to people, you must prove to them that you have something they're looking for. Everyone or let's say I know that all my friends wish to be happy and they want to reach that level where they can feel contentment. I'll do well to let them know they can achieve that through Hive and I'll show them how.
How do you relate this blockchain world to well-being?
The Blockchain world and all it involves is related to well-being. This is because all the emotions involved with well-being and all that well-being entails can be acquired through the Blockchain.
Personally, I feel satisfied, happy and encouraged to do better on the Blockchain when I make posts and I get curated,I get relatable comments and great engagements from other authors. These great feelings are exactly what well-being is all about.
I invite @zellypearl and @princessbusayo to join the challenge.
