For the past 48 hours, I’ve been thinking a lot about Hive marketing. Are these just random thoughts or something I can’t stop thinking about? This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten stuck on an idea, looking at it from all sides. I usually dive deep into research when something grabs my interest.
Before I explain more, I want to share that I’ve gotten 50,000 views on my posts in two subreddits before. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s not nothing either. I’m confused why the view count says 48.8k when I was getting 3,000 views per hour. I don’t really get how these numbers work (it was alot higher).
Today, I learned a lot about marketing: what works, what doesn’t, and how to do it well. I really enjoy this stuff. My head is full of ideas on how to make marketing better. Money is nice, but the excitement of this work matters more to me. It’s almost like an addiction. Have you seen the top Reddit posters? Some make about 50 Hive a day, in some parts of the world it's enough for people to live comfortably.
But to succeed, you have to avoid getting banned from subreddits, pick the right ones, follow their rules, and not spam links like some people still do (and often somehow it works too, I am confused on this point for now). You also need traffic to get approx 6 HTU (HiveTokenUnit) upvotes making 3$. To go further, you can comment under Hive-Echo to get upvotes and earn rewards like HBD (the prizes are very attractive) or delegations through initiatives like X-Rain.
Doing this with friends feels like a fun game. It’s exciting and rewarding. In the last 48 hours, I’ve made new friends, and people liked it when I shared their posts.
I’ve done marketing for companies before, and learning Reddit marketing is a useful skill. It’s something I can use outside of Hive too. Imagine getting paid to promote someone’s blog, helping it rank higher, and making extra money.
My random thoughts and overthinking are starting to take over again. Before they get out of hand, I’ll stop here for now.
