Time flies fast, and sometimes it’s hard to track the time. It’s already been 4 years since I joined the HIVE platform. 4 years is not a huge time, but the time is not so little time either. In these 4 years, I have struggled with many things and learned many things from here, which shaped me into the current version. What happened during the 4 years? What did I achieve? What did I lose? And what is my plan for the future related to the HIVE platform? To be honest, if I start to discuss those things, it will be hard to finish this post, and, in some cases, words are not enough to express my feelings either.

I created an account here because of curiosity, thinking that it could be an extra earning source. Unfortunately, after creating an account, I could not log in as I didn’t get the password. I was thinking I didn’t enter a password. How could I enter a password? I didn’t know that there was a master password that was sent to my Gmail. After a few weeks, I checked my Gmail and found the password. I logged in to my account. I made an introduction post, and after making some posts, I left the platform as I felt it would not give me too much benefit. I just heard that Hive is a Web 3.0 platform, and I wasn’t aware of the meaning of it.
Later I heard about Web 3.0 from a crypto YouTuber whom I used to follow, and I could understand a little bit about Web 3.0, and that reminded me about the Hive platform. So, I became more curious about the Hive platform and wanted to know more. It was quite troublesome to understand the system of Hive. I tried to gain knowledge by reading the FAQ, but there were so many things to understand, which were overwhelming. Resource credit, Hive power, delegation upvote, curation, and so many things were quite basic things, but it was not so easy to understand. Later I connected with one of my noise.cash friend named @ayesha-malik who helped me to understand most of the basic things about Hive, as she came here a few months earlier than me. Whenever I faced trouble, I didn’t hesitate to knock on her. I hope I didn’t irritate her too much asking so many questions.
Instead of knowing basic things, I left Hive again because of not getting upvotes from whales, which demotivated me a lot. Moreover, I was facing my exam time also. Again, I had the courage to come back, and again I left for the same reason, and almost after crossing a year, I can remember I didn’t achieve anything from here. My Hive Power was only 20/21, if I can remember correctly. I don’t know why after that I became very serious about Hive, and I started to think about it in a long-term perspective.
I tried to increase my activity by engaging more with other authors, but I faced difficulties because of resource credit, and that’s the reason I felt the need for Hive Power, and that’s the reason I started to increase my HP, and later I could understand how important it is to increase HP. It’s the voice of a user in the platform as it helps to increase influence here. With time I made friends and started learning many things from Hive and about how to improve my writing skills. I hardly got a big upvote at that time, but I didn’t feel bad because at that time there were some friends who used to comment on my post, and reading this comment, I could understand they read my post with a sincere heart, giving their precious time. That’s the thing that touched me and gave me motivation to move forward. Later, I learned many things, understood the blockchain better, and it made many things easy for me. That’s why I say that the reward is not everything here. The Hive platform is more than that.

I know people focus on what we get from a place. So let me share about the growth. In the case of Hive Power, it is currently 7931 HP, and I am confident that within 1/2 weeks, my HP will cross 8k HP. It will be a milestone for me.
Why have I written so many things today about how I started my journey and how I faced difficulties here? It’s because I hope if any newbie reads this post, s/he should understand that s/he is not facing a similar situation alone. Almost everyone goes through a similar situation. I want to say stick with Hive and embrace the journey. In the long term, it will be very good, and the situation will become easier for them.

Thanks to everyone who was/is a part of the journey. A special thanks to @hivebuzz because it reminds me of everything about all the important updates. It seems Hivebuzz is the personal secretary to keep me up to date with everything. That’s good; otherwise, I might miss many updates.
