Who among you here missed the Hive Orientation? Like sharing the goodness of this platform? Yeeess, we are many! For three months, we have been idle for an orientation since Indayclara went to Dumaguete for her plans, sir Kim and Sir Intoy have been busy with life.
And there I was happily approached by @callmesmile that we will be having a hive orientation at Daantabogon National High School on Friday afternoon. Few of the teachers were interested in this "new technology" as they had heard from @richdreamer. Indeed, they must have made the right decision as they wanted to impart their writing skills and inspire people around the globe.
The time has come...
It was Friday afternoon when we went to Daantabogon NHS. We embarked at 1:35 so we could meet the call time which was 2 PM. The scorching heat of the sun pierced our skin though I was wearing a jacket, however, my face was more important. 🥹🤣

We arrived at the school at exactly 2 PM. We were assisted by teachers to continue to a certain classroom where we would have the orientation. It's just a perfect room for us, why? Because it has a perfect view of a wide blue sea, and a tranquil and winding room, where the teacher need not install ceiling fans because nature already provides them. How I wish would also be like this🥹.
When everyone was already set, Mam Smile navigated the topics on her laptop. The audience is composed of interested teachers of Daantabogon and student-teachers from CTU (wearing blue uniforms).
Ma'am Smile started to talk about Hive. She motivated everybody with her guiding words and a short introduction of herself as she was on this platform for two years and counting! She gave the highlights of the platform as it belongs to Web3 space, where we engaged the new technology that they must prepare themselves because it's different from other platforms we encounter daily. One of those is Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and others which belong to Web2, where if someone doesn't follow the rules, then the account will be banned or restricted by the system. However, here, we are the owner, the system can't delete your account but of course, there are rules to follow also.
And it's my turn already!
I discussed the PeakD Interface. Where I showed them, Mam Smile's blogs. First, I let them familiarize the side buttons, what's its uses and what should we find then. I let them see the latest blog of Mam Smile. From how many words, the community posted, the words, and others. I think I discussed it for 30 to 40 minutes only. Hehe. And you know what, at first I got nervous and shaking since it was quite a long time since we had the orientation. But later on, I gained the courage already🥰.
I gave back the floor Mam Smile as she discussed the percentage of upvote value. After seven days, the blog must payout according to its value. Then, it will be divided into two where the first one to the author and then the other one to the curators. The payout allotted to the author will be divided into two again where the first one to hive-backed dollars and the other one to hive power. They were even more interested in how complicated the account is.
Then, Mam Smile proceeded on how to make an introduction. I can see other listeners kept noting most especially the Do's and Dont's. Some of them were eager to learn and explore what possible new learning this platform has to offer.
After everything had been discussed, Mam Smile opened the floor for question and answer portion. A few of them already asked questions during the discussion so, this time, they were excited to make an introduction.
With Ma'am Gulbin, a school head from another school who took a ride just to come here and attended the orientation.
The orientation wouldn't be complete without picture taking. So we let everyone stand and come to the front. Our student drivers were the ones who took photos for us🥰.
I am glad to announce that two of the teachers were already making their future here. Sir @cup-bearer and Mam @diamondinthesky! They already started the right decision.
As we're about to leave, it's a mandatory pose here in the DNHS standee. If you're wondering about those shadows, well, the school built a gymnasium connected to their stage. Amazing!
It's a wrap! We ended our day with grumbling stomachs to a full stomach😍 as we stopped at a burger junction and to the second stop to buy some smoothies. Yumyum!
