A productive day everyone!
Just this Saturday, another sharing and spreading of good news to everyone who never doubted this platform. Such a blessing that we're already here and sharing the goodness of hive is what we love to do. With this platform, we found friendship online, we we're able to cope with our stress by sharing our thoughts, travels, experiences, and of course food!
Before going to the orientation...
The calling time is 9 a.m., so I have to wake up early to prepare everything. My kids have fever and honestly, I was like torn between two lovers. Since my stepdaughter has no class, I let her take care of them but I have to ensure that they're done eating and drinking the medicine. It's uneasy for me if I leave home unsettled, so I make everything set so I can be at orientation as soon as possible.
My guest is a college student who was motivated by Madam @netswriting. She's a former student of Madam and has commendable writing skills. So I told her beforehand that this platform is for her and just have time management, just like us working mommies, hehe.
The venue is in @naymhapz's residence. As soon as I arrived, all the mentors were already there and some invitees who came showed a willingness to the orientation. As @indayclara did the prompt, I was the one who introduced myself first and saw everyone how eager they were.
My current onboardee @iamgagz09 was next to talk and how hive changed her life now. It's been so heartwarming how they evolved as bloggers. My future onboardee who is wearing blue with a facemask is still shy, hehe.
After everyone has spoken, I and @iamgagz09 take our exits so we can prepare snacks and lunch. A bountiful thanks to everyone who contributed to making this orientation a successful one. We have @naymhapz, @callmesmile, @netswriting, @missleray, @mommyjane, @annetimistic, and yours truly.
I and Mam Gaga headed to Ilihan public market to buy bread, meat, fish, spices, and other. Then I went back to the venue.
As I handed the snacks to Mam Smile, sir @intoy.bugoy was discussing the features of the hive. The attendees listened well like they hadn't seen me there.
We immediately prepare the fish and meat. The only way to get this in one setting is "grilling" so as soon as the charcoal was ready, we grilled the pork meat which was sprinkled with salt only as Mam Marfe requested so it would be crunchy when cooked. The "Bangus" was inserted with spices on its inside so it would be tastier and again salt is the key.
This is the only decent photo I had during the preparation.
As soon as the pork has cooked, I eventually cut them into pieces. Also, prepared the sauce for both dishes.
Photo Opportunity
It's just so perfect timing when our grilled fish is almost done and the orientation is over. They had called for picture taking, so I hurriedly went in so I could have this.
The three of them wearing red, sky blue, and white are my colleagues in the department. Others were invited by my co-bloggers as well. They have heard the good news and it's up to them how to start now.
From the left, @iamgagz09, @mommyjane, @indayclara, @naymhapz, @ybanezkim26, @intoy.bugoy, @callmesmile, @annetimistic.
In a kiosk, we gather together for a simple budol fight. We continued the endless chikas and plans for future events.
My mind was full so was my stomach.
To Little Batanes we goooo....!
After lunch, we decided to visit little Batanes so our mentors could see the beauty offered by nature. They have visited Tabogon for a long time but are unable to see this view that is just a few steps from Mam Marfe's home. Under the scorching heat of the sun, they enjoyed the journey going to the place, most especially Inday, who had kids with her, I mean they are Mam Gaga's children and found friendship with Inday. She easily captured children's attention because of her energetic and amiable attitude.
We were so tired and thirsty after a long walk. Good thing there's a small store there at the top and everybody is buying some stuff. The owner of the store offered us this hut where we could breathe some air. It was so refreshing after all. They have wooden hammocks with tangled shrubbery of bamboo.
When we were in the hut, we felt the abundance of air and the calming sound of the environment. It took an hour we spent there.
As we went down, we saw this white goat patiently grazing the leaves of madre cacao and the coconut as it stepped higher which is unusual to us.hehe
The clouds were carrying rain which was about to pour and our only goal was to go home dry. We have fun creating memories with them and hopefully in the next encounter.
We have ended the orientation with this outdoor activity and what a productive day indeed!
That's all for today Hivers! Have a good day!
~I joBEElieve I can, so you can!
