What is Hive?
Hive is a web3 based social media and social network where creative activities are rewarded. Coding, writing, playing, staking, creation of arts and videos among others are sorts of creative activities that are rewarded on Hive.
The several applications built on hive with their multiple uses makes the platform a beautiful place for meeting creative minds. Some of the niche specific apps are engaged for fun and others for learning, finance, and even for fitness.
What is wellbeing?
I define wellbeing as an experience of sound health, happiness, and prosperity. The wellbeing wheel covers physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, occupational and environmental wellbeing.
Factors of Wellbeing
Our wellbeing can depend on a number of factors from internal composure to external actions or reactions. Engaging the Hive blockchain involves internal and external participation. The linkage between Hive and Wellbeing is very clear.
Creating contents or engaging other activities on Hive is a mix of thoughts, ideas and emotions from our experiences. As a content creator, the quality of our contents to a great extent tells the status of our mental, social, emotional wellbeing. Where we share our professional experiences, out physical, occupational and environmental wellbeing interplays.
Over time, I have built my writing skills which has developed my mental and occupational capacity. Beyond that, every day interaction with friends here builds a my social wellbeing since I learn from others too.
Well, we definitely know, reading makes a good writer. Stopping to read makes a poor writer. Reading continuously would always improve our mental wellbeing. Compared to writing on hive. Writing everyday on hive would actually improve your writing ability, thinking faculty and social ability. So, engaging on these things would develop my wellbeing in all areas.
We don't only have physical sound health, there are other skills that need to be healthy. Eating good food keeps our body healthy. So, our skills needs good food to keep it healthy, what is that food, consistency (read and write) on hive.
Does Hive Affect the 7 areas of My Well-being Wheel?
Oh, the answer is absolutely, yes. Let me breakdown the difference aspects of of my well-being as it relates with hive.
A. Mental well-being: the ability to improve the functioning of my brain through healthy reading and writing on hive. By getting acquainted and being able to perform well, it will produce quality content that bring happiness, prosperity and good health (mental).
B. Social well-being: this is where I pursue areas of interest, life purpose and values to gain happiness, satisfaction, and connection from people from all work of life. Hive pave way for mastery of skills, how to engage people, I have never come across before. It creates meaningful connection. Remember, you can't become great without people pushing you to the top. Keeping healthy relationship is wise on hive and elsewhere is wise.
C. Emotional well-being: This is the ability to cope with stress management and relaxation. I believe hive platform doesn't stress all time much. It serves stress and enough time to rest while think of what else to come up with. I boost my emotional well-being by generating emotions that lead to good ideas, feelings, and thought. “Oh boss girl”.
D. Community well-being: This is the ability to participate or engaged in one contest or the other by good quality content. By so doing, I am growing the community.
E. Spiritual well-being: This is where I can explore and express my understanding, experience about the God of righteous, loving kindness, and justice one. He is the reason we are alive today. He is the one who has endowed me/you with wisdom to go through. I wouldn't fail to mention this particular one. I love God.
