Bonjour, HIVEans! How was your Christmas? Before celebrating and greeting the New Year, let me look back and share a core memory I gained this week with the people in this great community. The Hive Circle holds a great number of joyous bloggers and brilliant influencers. We were united by our triumphant desire to have a year-end party with never-ending fun, spontaneous performances, and fun activities.
Have you guys ever thought and looked back of all the things you received this year? What’s your greatest bestowal this year 2023?
Before the said Christmas Party, @indayclara initiated and informed us through the group chat that we'd be having a Christmas Party. Everyone started to fill in their names and some even gave some pledges. The number of participants were known and so the plans were made coherently.
My onboarder, who’s also my teacher, @missjoycee, convinced me to join the upcoming party. At first, I was doubting if I should come since I’m shy and I haven’t met the brilliant people yet. Honestly, that’s the point of the special occasion, right? To meet new people, to socialise, and to get to know every person behind their Hive nickname. That’s great, and my teacher made me realise that it would be nice if everyone would also get to know me. It hasn’t been long since I joined Hive, and meeting new people might seem a little bit awkward for me. However, I should have a grasp of myself and learn how to bond with newfangled humans that come into my life. Then I finally decided to join the special occasion.
The first-ever Hive Christmas Party was held at Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort in Sogod, Cebu. First off with the front view from our venue. The ethereal and solace seaside view. It was a bit gloomy that day, yet the beauty of nature still won over my heart.
This is their pool area, a vast space for people to enjoy quality time with their family and friends. The resort offers such a homie vibe, including the billiards that are put here inside with lots of comfy sofas and couches. It’s totally giving! The aesthetics and colour palette of the resort really complement each other. Take a look at their exterior, which is pretty yellow. Love it!
D-day came! The Hive Christmas Party is here! Yehey! It was already past 10 a.m. when me and my older sister reached the venue, Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort. My stomach was uptight. “I’m so late!" I thought. When I went down towards the event, everything to me seemed so fresh, leaving me anxious. Thankfully, @indayclara greeted me with a warm welcome; it truly put me at ease and helped me loosen some tight nerves. Then, @jobeliever showed me a heartwarming smile, and she guided me in registering my attendance. “Okay, everyone is kind. Phew!" This is so me. Always been the nervous kid around the crowd.
After getting my name tag, I saw my groupmates practicing enthusiastically. @missjoycee, @selflessgem, @cheerfel, @hanyabee, we are group one. Seeing them made me want to join the table.
The programme was commenced by the person who holds the prettiest smile; with the host ma’am @callmesmile. The sound operator was sir @intoybugoy, and sir @ybanezkim26 was the judge who keenly observed the deserving winners. Of course, the queen bee @indayclara gave her entrance with a walk on the runway.
We then did proceed to the performances. Our group danced “Made You Look” by Meghan Trainor and also did a tiktok trend. The ending part of our performance was actually a spontaneous decision made by the group; it was interesting how everyone made it work! The other group also did perform; there was a jingle, a dance performance, and a lively chant, like the C-A-D-U, CADUAWAN HIVERS! Everyone was so lively, especially when the games started.
The game masters were so thoughtful to make the games organized and fun. Especially when it was the time to play the Trip to Jerusalem. At every Christmas party, the trip to Jerusalem holds the title of the most played game. @indayclara really did make everyone so happy by joining the game and making everyone so hyped up. Everyone dances so well along with their genuine smiles, at the end of the game, Miss @sleflessgem won the game.
When the time for exchanging gifts came, we were asked to give a short description of our monita, or monito. I thank you the generous madam who gave me these wonderful gifts. A sky blue alarm clock, and a cute london eye souvenir. You made this girl so happy. Thank you!
During the party games, I wasn’t able to win a single game. Perhaps I'm such a wimp HAHAHAHAHHAHAA. I wanted to win, but it was more rewarding to see everyone so happy. Especially when sir @ybanezkim26 gave out the Hive tote bags. Tote bags are cuties!
Everyone and everything was at the right time and place. December 26th was meant to happen. The Hive Christmas party made me realise I’m walking right down my chosen path. Meeting new people and trying to remember everyone might be difficult for me; however, the year-end party wasn’t the end. I still have a long way to go and more time to get to know the people that the high above chose to gift me. Yes, these people in an excellent community are one of the bestowals I greatly appreciate this year.
Thank you to every member of this community. I felt as if I've found a new group to bond with, although it may take some time for me. I am forever grateful to everyone, endless gratitude to the ones who made me feel so appreciated and loved.
