Everybody can be great.. because anybody can serve. You don't have a college degree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Hello my dear hivers, hope all is well as we feel the love that brings this yuletide season. Here I am again writing about the last OCD Onboarding and Hive Orientation last December 8, 2023. It was held in Caduawan Elementary School. It was agreed to have it on this day because it was holiday. I am glad that our school hosted the OCD Onboarding for the second time.
Our supportive and generous school principal invited many inspiring new bloggers because she wants to spread the good side of this platform. As part of the teaching staff and a member of this platform already I gave my full support also to my school head. We planned ahead of time together with my co-bloggers.
I was assigned in food preparation including snacks and meals for lunch for our requested guest speaker, @indayclara and other onboarders. I arrived early at the venue to prepare everything.
Time passed by, the invited newbies came. To my surprise it was more than my expectation. Overall there were more than thirty participants. The venue is not spacious enough that accomodate plenty of participants but we managed them properly. They came from different places holding a positive vibes.
The orientation started with a prayer led by @indayclara, right after she asked everyone to introduce themselves so that they would be acquainted with each other. She asked also why they wanted to join Hives and who invited them.
The first topic was tackled by indayclara, who was able to discuss everything about the platform. She mentioned also the do's and don't in Hives. While on the way to her discussion, working snacks were served. We offered buko lamaw (young coconut meat with water and milk) paired with banana cue. We chose to have a nutritious and delicious snack for our health. Most of them were very eager to listen. They were inspired by the given attestation of the goodness of this platform.
How to get curated in Hives was being discussed @naymhaps, she is my onboarder that guided me along my journey in Hives. Newcomers here need not worry because they will be guided properly soon by their onboarder. This is my third time attending OCD Onboarding and it helped me grow in my field of blogging.
The first participant came early to the venue. While waiting for the others to come, she spent it helping in wrapping vegetables lumpia. She's very interested to start on her first blog because as for her she loves to write.
My helping hands in cooking food for snacks and meals are: @missbebeth, @anntimistic, and @lovingmers.
We were able to finish our cooking task on time. The collaboration among each other helps us to finish it easily and quickly. The orientation ended at noontime and we immediately served the food for lunch.
We're getting bigger in the north area of Cebu. I am glad that Hives is continually growing in my province to spread the goodness to everyone. That is why I gave my full support in every Hives orientation that was being held in our school for the success of the event.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to @indayclara, @ybanezkim26, @intoybugoy, @callmesmile, @naymhapz, and @lovingmers, for doing their best in upbringing Hives and giving inspiration to everybody most especially the senior high school students. On my side I can attest how this platform helped me in my vocabulary and surviving the economic crisis we have right now.
Until next time, thank you for supporting my blog.
