Fear is a devourer of great opportunities, steals dreams and really knows how to break hearts. Honestly, it is not a good life companion, if your purpose is to be big and bold with your dreams. The bad thing about this friend we call fear is that at night it leaves us alone, and maybe, if we are honest we can use it to our advantage once we realize we have messed up with this partner. Thinking and being resilient.
You may be wondering why I started talking about this, on my second day of cryptolatinfest, I promise you'll understand. Tuve que bajar corriendo las escaleras por un nuevo temblor, —se los dije.
Arriving at the hotel on my first day of the festival, I felt I had not given my 100% thanks to fear and my introverted personality. In the middle of a hurried shower for fear of the aftershocks of the tremor that occurred during the day and having to go down the emergency stairs without clothes, I reflected on how I could do a 180° turnaround to what I was feeling.
So I went down to an Oxxo near the hotel and bought some cookies to spend my evening reading and developing ideas. I wanted to learn more and do more research, I looked up some English videos of hivers on YouTube and 3speak and sat down to write, to design my own knowledge map taking into account what each hiver at the festival shared with me and what I heard in the videos.
I had to run downstairs because of a new tremor, -I told you.

Desperté enérgica y feliz porque me sentía segura, y una vez más confirmo que el conocimiento es poder. Bajé al buffet por mi desayuno, elegí huevos, pan y por supuesto mi cereal que no debe faltar en viajes como estos. —Debo ser sincera con ustedes acerca de mi obsesión por los cereales.
Caminé un rato con Oddie en el bonito ambiente que ofrece el hotel, jugué unos minutos antes de subirlo a la habitación y decidí llegar temprano al festival. Esta vez daría lo mejor de mí. Así que le dije a mi miedo “hoy no me acompañas”.
Honestamente, no imaginé que sería la primera en llegar. Sin embargo, decidí organizar nuestro stand y empezar a mostrarle al mundo nuestro ecosistema.
I woke up energetic and happy because I felt safe, and once again I confirmed that knowledge is power. I went down to the buffet for my breakfast, I chose eggs, bread and of course my cereal that should not be missing in trips like these. —I must be honest with you about my cereal obsession.
I walked around with Oddie for a while in the nice atmosphere the hotel offers, played for a few minutes before taking him up to the room and decided to arrive early to the festival. This time I would give it my best shot. So I told my fear "you're not accompanying me today".
Honestly, I didn't imagine that I would be the first to arrive. However, I decided to organize our booth and start showing the world our ecosystem.
Siempre me gusta destacar las oportunidades que Hive nos brinda como creadores y esta nace con el valor que la colmena nos da, la creatividad, la originalidad, imaginación y dedicación son muy bien vistas en la colmena. Tuve la oportunidad de responder preguntas y ser entrevistada un par de veces, el cual debo destacar que me siento orgullosa de mis respuestas y la seguridad con la que represente a la colmena. Creo que no puedes hablar de peces si no te has metido a nadar con ellos, a esto me refiero con que, el verdadero aprendizaje siempre está en la práctica. No de manera irresponsable, sino con preparación previa y enfoque.
I had the opportunity to answer questions and be interviewed a couple of times, and I must say that I am proud of my answers and the confidence with which I represented the hive. I believe that you can't talk about fish if you haven't swum with them, that's what I mean, the real learning is always in the practice. Not irresponsibly, but with prior preparation and focus.

El juego consistía en tirar una flecha imantada y debías atinar al mayor puntaje, obvio que era pan comido para mí, teniendo en cuenta que practiqué tiro con arco por muchos años, como era de esperarse me saqué el mayor puntaje y pude elegir el premio que quería. Fue bastante divertido. Por favor no hablemos de la sorprendente participación de @fermionico, icónica.
At times we were out walking around the festival and making good connections with developers and content creators, as well as other ideas involving the crypto market. I walked with several bees and we listened to very innovative proposals @helengutier2, until it was time to play for a prize at a festival booth.
The game consisted of shooting a magnetized arrow and you had to hit the highest score, obviously it was a piece of cake for me, considering that I practiced archery for many years, as expected I got the highest score and could choose the prize I wanted. It was quite fun. Please let's not talk about @fermionico amazing participation, iconic.

El sol se opuso y el último día del festival llegaba a su fin. Como es de imaginarse debía regresar temprano al hotel, sin embargo, el team seguía lleno de energía dando la milla extra. Quería quedarme para luego ir a nuestro encuentro privado pero las cosas se me harían un poco complicadas, así que decidí despedirme y quedarme con la esperanza de volverles a ver.
Me quedé con sus sonrisas y con la certeza de que el team Bogotá dará lo mejor para hacer crecer nuestra comunidad, esto me incluye, y aunque me quede poco tiempo en el país, estaré dispuesta a formar parte de las huellas fundadoras de este equipo que nació ese agosto en ese festival de soñadores.
The sun set and the last day of the festival was coming to an end. As you can imagine I had to go back to the hotel early, however, the team was still full of energy going the extra mile. I wanted to stay and then go to our private meeting but things would be a bit complicated, so I decided to say goodbye and stay with the hope of seeing them again.
I was left with their smiles and with the certainty that the Bogota team will do its best to make our community grow, this includes me, and although I will be in the country for a short time, I will be willing to be part of the founding footprints of this team that was born that August in that festival of dreamers.
We are a very big family and I am so happy to be part of it, the laughter, the knowledge, the new ideas, the occurrences, are part of the minute by minute that is lived within the community. I keep so many hugs, I keep the laughs of asking for a second serving of garlic sauce, I keep the funny way @arlettesalas ate, with the explanation of @tsunsica of how to pronounce your user, with the press moment when the interviewee did not have the headset because Katha and I forgot to put it on, with the surprise that @sofiaquono98 and I had very similar boots. Among other things, I replay these images over and over again and still have the strong feeling of knowing I'm part of something BIG.
