Spring festival at the local mall

Osaka has been enjoying pleasant spring weather these days. I was told that a spring festival was being held at a nearby mall, so I went there with my Okan. When we went there, we found several nostalgic stalls exhibiting at the festival—ping pong balls, ring toss, shooting game, rubber ball scooping, and more. I got nostalgic and decided to join in right away. My mom said she would try ping pong balls and started to play. "It's so difficult," she said. But it's fun. It brings back memories. She seemed to remember the festivals when she used to play at the night stalls in the summer festival.

大阪はこの頃、過ごしやすい春の陽気に包まれています。近所のモールで春のお祭りを開催していると教えてもらい、早速オカンと一緒に行ってみました。行ってみると、お祭りに出展しているような、懐かしい出店が何店が出ていました。ピンポンボール、輪投げ、射的、スパーボールすくいなど。懐かしくなって、早速参加してみることにしました。オカンはピンポンボールをしてみると言って、プレーしはじました。「難しいねぇー。でも、楽しい。懐かしいわぁー。」と言いながら、昔、屋台で出ていたお祭りを思い出したようでした。

Rubber ball scooping game!

I did it because there was a rubber ball scooping. When I think about it, I haven't done rubber ball scooping for more than 20 years now. When I was a child, goldfish scooping was mainstream, but I hear that it has now been replaced by rubber ball scooping due to voices saying, "Poor fish!!" I feel again that both people and stalls need to adapt to the changing times. But still, it was fun 🎵. I miss my old days haha!!

私はスパーボールすくいがあったのでやってみました。スーパーボールすくいも考えてみれば、もう20年以上やっていなかったと思います。子供の頃は金魚すくいが主流だったのですが、「かわいそう」と言った声が出て今ではスパーボールすくいに変わったと聞きます。時代の変化に人も屋台も対応しないといけないと改めて感じます。それにしても、楽しかったなぁー🎵
