Dear Hivians and NFT lovers!
Please meet Javier Bright, the loneliest being on Earth - literally!
Javier grew up in a - for us - strange place. Actually it was not even on Earth, but on a small, icy planet in a distant spiral arm of Milky Way, several thousands of lightyears away. We have no name for this system, the creatures from there call it Yuoiuawaalsou, and themselves they call Youiuawaals´as (for simplicity I will just call them Yuwasas).
How he landed on Earth and ended up as ski instructor, you might ask?
Well, it all began by choosing his profession as "microgravity engineer". Not that he picked that by himself. All Yuwasas, when their last leg had finished growing, were given a profession, depending on the number of legs. You have to know, that the average number of legs of healthy Yuwasas is around 13 to 14, some get even 20, but the unfortunate ones with only 2, 3 or 4 legs were considered as scum and treated like lepers or worse. With only 2 legs he had no decent place in the Yuwasa society. As microgravity engineer he had to clean the engines of space ships or repair blocked toilets. Under microgravity conditions during space travel you can imagine that this is no fun and dirty and smelly as hell!
So for ages he traveled through space doing his lonely job as engineer (even the crew avoided him as much as they could). After many years he happened to be on an exploring mission which brought him to our solar system. It is unclear what happened exactly (he was of course not at the control center when it happened), but the ship crashed straight into the surface of Earth and killed the whole crew. Javier was at that moment in the middle of the central fecal tank on a subtle mission (one of the officers had unintentionally swallowed his honorary nose plug while sleeping, so Javier had to dig for it). The fecal matter actually saved his life by cushioning the impact. It took a while before he figured a way out of the crushed tank and it was not a pretty sight, that mixture of Yuwasa shit, space ship scrap and dead bodies. Eventually he got out and tried to find out where he was (of course the ship´s AI was destroyed due to the severe impact and he could not retrieve too much useful information about the local system). All he could get through one of the few intact but fading out terminals was some language and local information about the Earthlings which he quickly loaded into his yellow neuralinked earring. Soon after, the whole ship began to fill with water, so he wasted no time, found an exit and jumped off it, before it could sink and take him with it. After a little swim, he stepped on solid ground again. It was Antarctis! The ship apparently had crashed laterally into the ice shield, bounced off and finally sunk, leaving no traces other than Javier.
The accident could have happened at a place like this:
The rest of the story is not that spectacular anymore. Javier spend months walking over the ice (the weather was a little too warm for his body, but it was acceptable) and eating fish occasionally, before he finally found a European research station. He was not stupid and avoided a fancy appearance. He grew a beard, learned the languages, and when he made contact with the Earthlings, he posed as an Australian tourist who had fallen victim to a prank.
He was accepted by the scientists as a bit weird and confused personality. Later an Austrian polar explorer fell in love with him. Javier didn´t grasp the concept of love, but he played along.
Together they went to Austria, to the Alps where it turned out that he had a talent for skiing.
Finally he revealed his non-Earthian nature to his partner and that his green eye shadow was not color but genuine, but it didn´t turn out too well for the relationship. Alone again, he continued skiing, his only joy. For sure he must be one of the loneliest beings on the entire solar system.
This is the backstory of Javier Bright (who is on sale by the way). Inspired by the call-to-action of @themarkymark to reaveal some background information about your favorite punks. I hope you enjoyed it.
Let the punks roll!!!
