Greetings ! Awesome Community, fellow Hivers, and friends!ššš
Following our deep dive into the Void Dragon (@xenowolfza/the-void-dragon-an-introduction) , today we shift our gaze to something darkerāthe terrifying, death-shrouded entity known as the Nightbringer.
Azaāgorod, the Nightbringer ā The Reaper of Stars
Known to the Necrons as Azaāgorod, the Nightbringer is the embodiment of death itself. Once the most powerful of the Cātan, he carved a path of extinction through entire star systems, consuming intelligent life for sustenanceāand pleasure. The Nightbringer wasn't just a killer; he was Death personified, influencing the subconscious of countless species. Many races still instinctively fear his image as the Grim Reaper, and the Aeldari know him as Kaelis Ra, the Destroyer of Light.š
As the first Cātan to cross into the material universe, Azaāgorod was also the first to be encased in Necrodermis, the living metal body crafted by the Necrontyr. This form allowed him to devour the energies of mortals, which he found far more delicious than stellar radiation. His hunger was so vast he even turned on his own kin, devouring other Cātan - a betrayal possibly encouraged by the Deceiver or even Cegorach(Aeldari god of deception).āļø
Everlasting:
During the War in Heaven, the Nightbringerās madness intensified. The Aeldari god Khaine once shattered the Nightbringerās Necrodermis form, scattering his essence across the stars. Though broken into Shards, each fragment remains devastating in battle, manifesting as a towering, cloaked figure wielding a Phase Scythe - a nightmarish echo of Death.ā ļø

Feared by those with No Fear:
Eventually, like all Cātan, the Nightbringer was betrayed by the Necrons and imprisoned. One such shard was entombed on the planet Pavonis. It was here that the Ultramarines under Captain Uriel Ventris stumbled upon its crypt. Amid a civil war and a Dark Eldar plot, the Nightbringer awoke. His presence alone drove men insane. Ventris, realizing they couldnāt win, threatened to collapse the tomb using a melta bomb. The threat was enoughāthe Nightbringer allowed their retreat and later escaped Pavonis to feed upon the stars once again.

Even in pieces, the Nightbringer is one of the most dangerous entities in the galaxy. His legacy of fear and annihilation continues to ripple across time. Bound yet never truly broken, Azaāgorod watches from the void, biding his time⦠death incarnate, waiting for the stars to fall once more.š
