Hello beautiful and awesome #jewelry community lovers. I hope you are managing life with family and business. I want to make it clear that I want us to look into a new tendril I made for a customer whom initially I didn't understand her demand description. Below, I'll provide in brief what made me make the tendril for my customer, and after I'll highlight the materials and the procedures followed to make the tendril.
If by mistake a jewelry maker fails to understand his customer's demand, it's very important to ask for clarification to avoid making silly mistakes that may end you losing the materials and sometimes the customer as well. I have never witnessed such before but I have seen no one is above mistake as it was my turn to witness it today.
Early this morning I was already bothered by not having a customer to patronize me in jewelry making but about a few hours ago, a lady who happens to be an old customer came to me and we discussed business. In our discussion was the description of the type of tendril she wanted me to make for her and the price she agreed to pay. After the customer left I was about to start making the tendril earring. To be honest, I forgot the customer type of tendril discussion. I was confused about what to do because I forgot to record the customer's phone number.
When my counterpart noticed my behavior, she came close to me and asked me what was wrong with me and I had to explain. My counterpart laughed at me and told me she had warned me severally not to always believe in myself without writing down a customer's description. I told her I forgot to do so but the customer was in a haste. My counterpart told me she recorded my discussion with the customer with her phone. I listened to the phone records and was able to understand the customer's tendril description and later made it for her.
Materials that were used for the making of the tendril will be highlighted below:
Nylon line.
24 pieces of milk-colored straw bead while about 12 of them were used to make each ear of the tendril.
22 pieces of gold-colored pearl bead while about 11 pieces of it were used to make each ear of the tendril.
8 pieces of pink diamond-shaped bead while 4 pieces from it were used to make each ear of the tendril.
4 pieces of white color pearl bead while 2 pieces of it was used to make each ear of the tendril.
Earring hook.
Bead stopper.
Procedures used for the making of the tendril will be discussed below for proper directions:
I had to cut a nylon line from its row and then insert 3 pieces of gold color pearl bead and then make it appear at the center of the nylon line. I now have to join the mouth of the nylon line together and then insert 1 piece of gold-colored pearl bead.
From the left of the nylon line, I inserted 1 piece of milk-colored straw bead and 1 piece of white color pearl bead. I also have to insert 1 piece of milk-colored straw bead, and 1 piece of white color pearl bead to the right nylon line.
I have to cut another nylon line and then insert it into the milk-colored straw bead close to the white color pearl bead. From the nylon, I inserted 1 piece of milk-colored straw bead to the left and another 1 piece to the right nylon line. I now joined the nylon line together and inserted 1 piece of gold-colored pearl bead, and 1 piece of pink-colored diamond-shaped bead. I now have to insert a bead stopper and use a plier to lock it by clipping.
Now I turned to the left side and after cutting another nylon line. I now have to insert the nylon line into the milk-colored straw bead close to the left white color pearl bead. I now inserted 1 piece of milk-colored straw bead into the left nylon line and another 1 piece into the right nylon line. I now joined the nylon lines and inserted 1 piece of gold-colored pearl beads, and 1 piece of pink color diamond shape beads. I now inserted a bead stopper and used a plier to clip in another to hold it.
Now I have to turn to the right nylon again and then cut another nylon line. I now inserted the nylon line into the gold-colored pearl bead close to the milk-colored straw bead beside it. I now inserted 1 piece of milk-colored straw bead into the left nylon line and another 1 piece into the right nylon line. I now joined the nylon lines and inserted 1 piece of gold-colored pearl beads and 1 piece of pink-colored diamond-shaped beads. I now inserted a bead stopper and used a plier to clip it.
I turned to the left nylon line and cut another nylon line. I now inserted it into the left gold-colored pearl bead close to the milk-colored straw bead beside it. I now inserted 1 piece of milk-colored straw bead into the left nylon line and another 1 piece into the right nylon line. I now joined the nylon lines together and inserted 1 piece of gold-colored pearl bead, 1 piece of pink-colored diamond-shaped bead. I now have to insert a bead stopper and use a plier to clip it.
From the top white pearl bead, I inserted 1 piece of milk-colored straw bead into the left nylon line and another 1 piece into the right nylon line. I now inserted 1 piece of gold-colored pearl beads into the left nylon line and another 1 piece into the right nylon line. I joined the nylon lines together and inserted 1 piece of gold-colored pearl bead. I now inserted the earring hook into the left nylon line and used the right nylon line to tie it together.
