Hello to all fellow #jewelry lovers. I hope you are having a wonderful week with your family and business. Today a customer challenged me that I can't make tendrils using only wire and beads. This is what I'll discuss below, but aside from that, I'll also provide you with materials and procedures I followed to make the long tendril a reality.
I didn't blame the customer for challenging me to make tendrils only with wire and beads, but I saw it as a way of promotion to see how capable I'm becoming in tendril making. The customer is an old one who always patronizes me in my handmade skills. When the customer came around and saw earrings I already made using beads and nylon lines. She said, she's used to my earrings made with nylon lines and she's challenging me to make tendrils for her only with wire and beads. She said she also want me to be the one to make the earring hook together with the wire.
The truth is that when this challenge came to me, I was somehow scared because bending those wires for tendril-making is not always easy. I'm happy that in the end, I made a long tendril for the customer. When the customer came to have the earring, she was excited and paid me double the price will discuss before. Not only the heavy amount she later paid me for the long tendril that's making me happy but the beauty of the tendril and ended making.
Materials that were used to make the tendril will be mentioned below:
1mm wire.
6 pieces of gold color pearl bead while 3 pieces will be used for one side of the earring.
6 pieces of blue pearl bead while 3 pieces will be used to make one side of the earring.
2 pieces of white pearl bead while 1 part will be used to make one side of the earring.
Plier.
Simple procedures used to make the tendril will be discussed below:
To make the tendril, I ensure that all the things that'll distract me are kept aside and all focus on the tendril making.
I have to use a plier to cut wire, then insert 1 piece of gold color pearl bead. After that, I have to bend the wire to enter inside the bead. I have to bend the downside too and make sure it enters the gold color bead.
From the downside of the wire that bend to the gold color bead, I insert another wire and from the wire, I inserted 1 blue pearl bead. Now I have to bend the wire from up to the blue pearl bead and I have to do the same to the downside using a plier to bend the wire.
From the downside of the wire that was inserted into the blue pearl bead, I inserted wire and then inserted 1 gold color pearl bead, 1 blue pearl bead, 1 white pearl bead, 1 blue pearl bead, and 1 gold color pearl bead. I have to bend the wire from the up of the gold color pearl bead and I did the same to the last down gold color pearl bead by making sure they were all inserted into the beads.
Finally, to make the earring hook, I have to cut the wire and insert it into the wire from up of the first gold color pearl bead and then bend the wire to the back. I now have to construct the top side of the earring hook using a plier.
