Last week I was incommunicado due to my phone being snatched. This uncomfortable event makes me think about how incredibly scattered you can be after something like this. Many people create dependency towards phones and other technologies, I am not like that, because I confess, I am not a technology lover and although nowadays, there is not a more cutting edge topic than this, certainly at times I feel behind perhaps, but it does not bother me completely, I like things the traditional way and although the modern world pushes us to be up to date in all this, I like my decelerated pace of life.

La semana pasada estuve incomunicada debido a que me arrebataron el teléfono. Este incómodo acontecimiento me hace pensar a cerca de increíblemente disperso que puedes quedar después de algo así. Muchas personas crean dependencia hacia los teléfonos y otras tecnologías, yo no soy así, pues me confieso, no soy amante de la tecnología y aunque hoy día, no hay un tema más de vanguardia que éste, por cierto que en algunos momentos me siento rezagada quizás, pero no me molesta completamente, me gustan las cosas de la forma tradicional y aunque el mundo moderno nos impulsa a estar al día en todo esto, me gusta mi ritmo de vida desacelerado.

Bien, es sencillo, pero ahora tengo un nuevo dispositivo, con un sistema muy diferente al que venía usando y siento que me retrasa, claro mientras me acostumbro y empiezo a descubrir los atajos y funciones que considero indispensables para mí.

Entre los retrasos es que no he podido conseguir la carpeta de fotos cuando vínculo el teléfono a la computadora y vaya que esto si que me molesta, pues organizo mis trabajos por carpetas con sus respectivos nombres y en la medida que voy abrazando en un proyecto, voy añadiendo las fotos a cada álbum. Lo bueno es que ya pude activar mis creaciones y eso para mí es un valioso avance. En este sentido, les comparto esta linda pulsera con cristales cruzados en una combinación de colores hermosos. We start by crimping the clasp hook to a 2 meter nylon thread. We place it in the middle and tighten it with a 3mm ball. Then we introduce a coral Murano glass in each of the threads and we adjust it until we reach the golden ball. It is very important to adjust each crystal because since we are working with nylon, the crystals tend to move.

Empezamos engarzando el gancho de cierre a un hilo de nylon de 2 metros. Lo ubicamos a la mitad y ajustamos con un balin de 3mm. Luego introducimos un cristal de Murano color coral en cada uno de los hilos y lo ajustamos hasta llegar al balin dorado. Es muy importante ir ajustando cada cristal pues ya que estamos trabajando con nylon, los cristales tienden a desplazarse.

We place the black crystal in a transversal way. This is achieved by passing the thread on the right in the direction of the left and in the other hole we pass the thread on the left in the opposite direction, so the black crystal is horizontal.

Colocamos el cristal negro en forma transversal. Esto lo conseguimos pasando el hilo de la derecha en dirección a la izquierda y en el otro orificio se pasa el hilo de la izquierda en sentido contrario, así en cristal negro queda en forma horizontal.

Next, a coral colored crystal is passed through each strand of nylon and finally a golden ball. This same pattern is repeated 5 times.

Seguido, se pasa un cristal de color coral por cada hebra de nylon y finalmente un balin dorado. Este mismo patrón se repite 5 veces.

We fix 7 centimeters of chain to the nylon by tying a tight knot and cut the excess. At the end of the chain we place a coral crystal that will serve us as an arborarium. For this I used copper wire.

Fijamos 7 centímetros de cadena al nylon mediando un nudo bien apretado y cortamos el excedente. En la punta de la cadena colocamos un cristal coral que nos servirá de arbolario. Para esto utilicé alambre de cobre.
