SAN NICOLÁS EN DIJE PARA NAVIDAD.
ST. NICHOLAS ON A CHRISTMAS PENDANT.
Hola amigos, felices fiestas. Han de estar muy ocupados ahora con los preparativos de lo que será su cena de navidad, compartir familiar y entrega de regalos. Igualmente yo por aquí ocupada y súper agradecida con ustedes, con Hive y con todos los curadores porque gracias a sus valoraciones este año 2024 también haremos hallacas usando las recompensas obtenidas en mis publicaciones. Yo me siento muy contenta por ello.
Estoy por aquí una vez más el día de hoy para compartirles mi más reciente creación. Espero que les guste mucho. En esta oportunidad quiero invitar a @josdelmi, @virgilio07 y @lorennys a participar en el concurso. Recordándoles a todos que pueden enviar dos participaciones, unirse a la comunidad y presentar su entrada porque queda mucho tiempo de vigencia para este reto.
Hello friends, happy holidays. You must be very busy now with the preparations for what will be your Christmas dinner, family sharing and gift giving. - Mostacillas de los colores blanco, negro, rojo y amarillo.
- Alambre de cobre o alambre de bisutería delgado que entre por el orificio de las mostacillas.
- Pinzas de bisutería para cortar el alambre.
- Pinzas de bisutería para montar el dije en la cadena.
- Cadena dorada.
- Seguro pico e' loro.
- Argollas de bisutería pequeñas.
- Regla o cinta métrica.
- Beads of white, black, red and yellow colors.
- Copper wire or thin costume jewelry wire that fits through the hole of the beads.
- Jewelry tweezers to cut the wire.
- Jewelry tweezers to mount the pendant on the chain.
- Gold-plated chain.
- Parrot's beak lock.
- Small costume jewelry rings.
- Ruler or tape measure.
PROCEDIMIENTO.
PROCEDURE.
Para empezar con este proyecto primero debemos elegir el diseño a elaborar. Casualmente me conseguí con esta imagen en una página de internet. En la imagen está el @ del creador. Me gustó mucho, aunque les adelanto que me dió algo de trabajo realizarlo ya que tengo mucho tiempo que no practicaba. Igualmente 😃 con un poco de paciencia y a mi estilo (improvisando) logré realizarlo. Es un DIJE de la figura de San Nicolás. Les conté en un post pasado que está es una de las imágenes o personajes que más me gusta de los adornos de la navidad. Así que no podía dejar pasar el deseo de elaborar este dije.
To start with this project we must first choose the design to elaborate. By chance I came across this image on a web page. In the image is the @ of the creator. I liked it a lot, although I can tell you that it gave me some work to do it since I haven't practiced for a long time. Anyway 😃 with a little patience and in my style (improvising) I managed to do it. It is a DIJE of the figure of St. Nicholas. I told you in a past post that this is one of the images or characters that I like most of the Christmas decorations. So I could not pass up the desire to make this pendant.
🎅🏽 Empecé a tejer el Santa desde la cabeza. No les miento si les digo que estuve unas cuantas horas estudiando el patrón. Antes había elaborado dijes de este estilo, pero se me olvidó la técnica para usar en casi todo el proyecto el mismo trozo de alambre. Corté un metro de alambre antes empezar, mejor que sobre y no que falte porque se complica si eso pasa. Como pueden ver se empieza colocando las primeras mostacillas, luego el segundo grupo y es allí donde empezamos a cruzar los alambres. Fueron dos rojas, tres rojas y cuatro rojas. Luego introduje las blancas y así sucesivamente fijándome del patrón. Para el cinturón introduje en su debida posición la mostacilla amarilla y hasta esa partecita lo dejé. Es decir, trabajé primero todo el cuerpo y la cabeza.
🎅🏽 I started knitting the Santa from the head. I'm not lying if I tell you that I spent a few hours studying the pattern. I had made charms in this style before, but I forgot the technique to use the same piece of wire for most of the project. I cut a meter of wire before starting, better to have too much than too little because it gets complicated if that happens. As you can see we started by placing the first beads, then the second group and that's where we started to cross the wires. There were two red, three red and four red. Then I introduced the white ones and so on and so forth, taking care of the pattern. For the belt I introduced the yellow bead in its proper position and I left it until that little part. That is to say, I worked the whole body and the head first.
🎅🏽 Ahora tomé medio metro de alambre (exageré, lo sé) y comencé a tejer una pierna. Es súper fácil porque es solo cruzar los alambres por dentro de las mostacillas según dice el patrón. De este mismo modo hice la otra pierna. Dejé alambre suficiente para unir luego al cuerpo.
🎅🏽 Now I took half a meter of wire (I exaggerated, I know) and started to weave a leg. It's super easy because it's just crossing the wires inside the beads according to the pattern. I did the other leg in the same way. I left enough wire to attach later to the body.
🎅🏽 Luego de hacer las piernas empecé a tejer lo que sería el gorro. Aquí me las ingenié para que saliera el alambre de la misma cabeza. Así que lo introduje y después empecé a pasar las mostacillas. Acomodé y di forma de gorrito. Escondí el alambre por dentro de las mostacillas luego de cortarlo.
🎅🏽 After making the legs I started knitting what would be the cap. Here I managed to get the wire to come out of the head itself. So I inserted it and then began to pass the beads. I arranged and shaped it into a beanie. I hid the wire inside the beads after cutting it.
🎅🏽 Por último realicé los bracitos. Los hice por separado y luego solo pasé el alambre por los extremos de la figura del cuerpo. Luego corté los alambres y enrollé el excedente por otro alambre del tejido.
🎅🏽 Finally I made the little arms. I made them separately and then just threaded the wire through the ends of the body shape. Then I cut the wires and rolled the excess through another wire of the weaving.
Como pueden apreciar se logró el objetivo. Sin embargo, debo ponerme a practicar porque se me está olvidando como usar el alambre en estos proyectos. A mí me gusta mucho hacer estas figuras, pero siempre me dedico a hacer otras cositas (ya saben que) en vez de dedicar también algo de tiempo a esto que también me gusta.
Este dije no es pequeño. Así que podré usarlo en una cadena gruesa, quizá como llavero. Solo se le coloca el seguro en un extremo de la cadena, se pasa el dije al que le coloqué dos argollas de bisutería y luego se le coloca una argolla al otro extremo de la cadena y se cierra. Me gustaría usarlo como colgante en alguno de mis bolsos.
As you can see the goal was achieved. However, I must start practicing because I am forgetting how to use the wire in these projects. I really like making these figures, but I'm always busy doing other little things (you know what) instead of dedicating some time to this, which I also like.
This one I said is not small. So I'll be able to use it on a thick chain, maybe as a keychain. You just attach the lock to one end of the chain, pass the charm to which I attached two costume jewelry rings and then attach a ring to the other end of the chain and close it. I would like to use it as a pendant on one of my bags.
