Blessings to all. Today I'm sharing with you a new earring design and inspiration can come from almost anywhere. In this case, I was inspired by Sanrio's cute frog, Keroppi. My daughter loves everything Sanrio and even though the earrings are not for her, it's nice for her to know that I can share her tastes and thus further strengthen our mommy-daughter bond.

Mi hija ama todo lo de Sanrio y aunque los aretes no son para ella, es lindo que ella sepa que puedo compartir sus gustos y así poder fortalecer aún más nuestro vínculo de mama e hija.

I chose to make the double figure, that is, that each earring had two parts placed on top of the other, so that it does not roll up, they are a little thicker, but in a nice way and also gives it the right weight so that it has better structure. Let's see how to make them.

Elegí hacer la figura doble, es decir, que cada arete tuviera dos partes puestas encima de la otra, para que no se enrolle, quedan un poco más gruesos, pero de una manera agradable y también le da el peso justo para que tenga mejor estructura. Veamos cómo elaborarlos.

We start a chain of nine stitches plus an additional stitch. We continue by advancing a single crochet in each base stitch. In the last stitch we knit two single crochets and continue knitting along the chain until we reach the other end where we knit the two single crochets to complete the old lady with a slip stitch. In the next round we start with a chain stitch for height and a single crochet in each stitch until we complete nine stitches and in the next two stitches we knit two increases. Repeat the process on the other side. In the third row we do the same, nine single crochet stitches and it corresponds to make 8 increases and the same on the opposite side.

Comenzamos una cadena de nueve puntos más un punto adicional. Seguimos avanzando un punto bajo en cada punto base. En el último punto realizamos dos bajos y seguimos tejiendo a lo largo de la cadena hasta llegar al otro extremo donde tejemos los dos puntos bajos para completar la viejita con un punto deslizado. En la siguiente vuelta comenzamos con un punto de cadena para altura y un punto bajo en cada punto hasta completar nueve puntos y en los dos siguientes puntos teje dos aumentos. Repetimos el proceso del otro lado. En la tercera vuelta hacemos lo mismo, nueve puntos bajos y corresponde hacer 8 aumentos y lo mismo del lado opuesto.

Cerramos la vuelta con punto deslizado y levantamos un punto de cadena, realizamos nueve puntos bajos y damos vuelta al tejido para realizar otros nueve puntos. Repetimos el procedimiento una vez más.

We embroider the mouth of the frog with black thread and we do this before joining the pieces so that we have a much neater work. Now it is time to join the pieces together and we do it with slipped stitches all around the figure.

Bordamos la boca de la ranita con hilo negro y esto lo hacemos antes de unir las piezas para que nos quede un trabajo mucho más prolijo. Ahora sí es momento de juntar las piezas y lo hacemos con puntos deslizados en todo el contorno de la figura.

For the eyes and cheeks we make circles in white and pink and sew black plastic beads for the pupils. We glue these small pieces with silicone. Finally we place a pair of rings and hooks for the pendant.

Para los ojos y las mejillas realizamos círculos en blanco y rosa y cosemos cuentas platicas color negro para las pupilas. Pegamos estás piezas pequeñas con silicón. Por último colocamos un par de argollas y gancho tipo anzuelos para el colgante.

The funniest pair of earrings I have made so far. The bunny one was also fun, but the frog one has a special energy, I surely feel it is my favorite because of the green color. My little girl liked them a lot, maybe later I will make her another accessory with Keroppi motif, but definitely these earrings will not be worn by her, because the size is not appropriate for a little girl, she does not understand it very much, but she accepts it. El par de aretes más divertido que he hecho hasta el momento. El de conejitos también estuvo divertido, pero el de rana tiene una energía especial, seguramente lo siento mi favorito por el color verde. A mi niña le gustaron mucho, quizás más adelante le haga otro accesorio con motivo de Keroppi, pero definitivamente estos aretes no los usará ella, pues el tamaño no es apropiado para una niña pequeña, ella no lo entiende mucho, pero lo acepta.
