Bendiciones para todos. Buscar de qué manera empezar un post, nunca había sido una complicación para mí, y es que después de cuatro años creando contenido, todo fluye de forma casi natural. Pero hoy no es un día como cualquiera. Ni este post como uno de tantos. Finalmente, tengo un diagnóstico para mi vista y saber que tengo glaucoma y daños en mi nervio óptico es algo no tan fácil de digerir.

I didn't come here to just tell you about my diagnosis, but to share this latest earring design. But I can't start the content in a vague way, maybe that would be the most feasible, however I decided to share it with you, who have been a support for me since I took the first steps in Hive as a content creator.

No vine aquí para solo contarles sobre mi diagnóstico, sino para compartir este último diseño de aretes. Pero no puedo empezar el contenido de forma vaga, quizás sería lo más viable, sin embargo decidí compartirlo con ustedes, quienes han sido un respaldo para mí desde que di los primeros pasos en Hive como creadora de contenido.

After this diagnosis I have to take things easy. Slow down in everything and avoid any kind of situation that may cause eye pressure. This includes using lifelong treatment and also includes major lifestyle changes. This includes avoiding too much time staring at anything. From this, every process of my projects has to take more time than it would normally take. It's a great irony of life for someone as impatient as I am.

Después de éste diagnóstico debo tomarme las cosas con tranquilidad. Ir más despacio en todo y evitar todo tipo de situación que pueda ocasionar presión ocular. Incluye usar tratamiento de por vida y además incluir importantes cambios en el estilo de vida. Esto incluye evitar estar demasiado tiempo con la vista fija sobre algo. A partir de esto, cada proceso de mis proyectos han de llevar más tiempo del que normalmente tomarían. Es una gran ironía de la vida para alguien tan impaciente como yo.

Now let's go to the elaboration process. To be honest, these earrings remind me of yellow chili peppers. But I also owe honesty to the project and they were started and conceived as tulips. We make a disc of 18 stitches in a magic ring and make increases up to number 18. From there we knit 30 stitches without increases. We knit two of the same stitches.

Ahora vamos con el proceso de elaboración. Siendo honesta, estos aretes me recuerdan ajíes dulces amarillos. Pero también le debo honestidad al proyecto y fueron empezados e ideados como tulipanes. Hacemos un disco de 18 puntos en un anillo mágico y hacemos aumentos hasta el número 18. A partir de allí tejemos 30 puntos sin aumentos. Tejemos dos iguales.

We pass a pin with two crystals through the center of the body of the knitted thimble. Then with the tweezers we make a ring to prevent it from coming out of the body of the earring. With a wool needle we stitch, first facing the edges and then in the opposite direction. In this way we give the center of the earring a puckered shape.

Pasamos un alfiler con dos cristales por el centro del cuerpo del dedal tejido. Luego con la pinza hacemos una argolla para evitar que se salga del cuerpo del arete. Con una aguja para lana vamos dando puntadas, primero confrontando los bordes y luego en sentido contrario. Así damos la forma fruncida al centro.

To make the part of the leaves we make a magic ring without closing and we knit four chain stitches. Then we leave one stitch unknitted and we knit slipped stitches until we reach the base of that chain. We knit in single crochet and repeat the procedure to make a second leaf. We make as many leaves as we want. In this case, I only made four so that it would not look overloaded. We pass it through the base of the pin we have placed and close the magic ring. We place the hook and finish the earring.

Para hacer la parte de las hojas hacemos un anillo mágico sin cerrar y tejemos cuatro puntos de cadena. Luego dejamos un punto sin tejer y vamos tejiendo puntos deslizados hasta llegar a la base de esa cadena. Realizamos con punto bajo y repetimos el procedimiento para hacer una segunda hoja. Hacemos tantas hojas como deseemos. En este caso, solo hice cuatro para que no se viera sobrecargado. Lo pasamos por la base del alfiler que hemos puesto y cerramos el anillo mágico. Colocamos el anzuelo y terminamos el arete.
