Blessed day to all. I've been feeling a bit stagnant the past few weeks. Health issues and my eyesight have kept me limited in crafting content. However, I'm not here to do a catharsis, but to share how to make a pretty headband with rag and to give it a sophisticated look, I added silver hoops all along the weave.

Bendecido día para todos. Me he sentido algo estancada en las últimas semanas. Los problemas de salud y mi vista me han mantenido limitada para elaborar contenido. Sin embargo, no estoy aquí para hacer una catarsis, sino para compartir cómo hacer una bonita diadema con trapillo y para darle un look sofisticado, agregué argollas plateadas a todo lo largo del tejido.

To make the headband we need a basic plastic headband. The one I got at hand is a bit thin, but I think that with a thicker headband it would be much more eye-catching. However, the fabric fits the size of this particular headband perfectly.

Para hacer la diadema necesitamos una diadema básica de plástico. La que conseguí a la mano es un poco delgada, pero pienso que con una diadema un poco más gruesa quedaría mucho más llamativa. Sin embargo, el tejido queda perfectamente ajustado al tamaño de esta diadema en particular.

The first thing we will do is cover all the plastic. We cut approximately 3 centimeters of rag and open it to cover the ends of the headband. Place silicone and adhere, making sure that there are no visible plastic spaces. With the other rag we continue wrapping the whole length of the headband until we reach the other end. We must place silicone as we go along the headband.

Lo primero que haremos será cubrir todo el plástico. Cortamos aproximadamente 3 centímetros de trapillo y lo abrimos para cubrir las puntas de la diadema. Colocamos silicón y adherimos asegurándonos de que no queden espacios plásticos visibles. Con el otro trapillo seguimos enrollando a todo lo largo de la diadema hasta llegar al otro extremo. Debemos ir colocando silicona en la medida que avanzamos por la diadema.

Cut three strips of rag of approximately 75 centimeters. Place one end on top of the other and sew with needle and thread. Then we continue braiding in such a way that we would make an ordinary braid of three strings. We make the same seam at the other end and try to make it as tight as possible so that there is no more rag left over than necessary.

Cortamos tres tiras de trapillo de aproximadamente 75 centímetros. Colocamos una punta sobre otras y cosemos con aguja e hilo. Luego seguimos trenzando de manera que haríamos una trenza corriente de tres cuerdas. Hacemos la misma costura en el otro extremo y procuramos hacer lo más ajustado posible para que no sobren más trapillo del necesario.

Place the braid on the lined headband and glue it with silicone. Cut two pieces of ragweed about 6 centimeters long and glue them on the ends, so that the ends of the headband are covered. Cut the excess of rag to the level of the headband.

Colocamos la trenza sobre la diadema forrada y la pegamos con silicón. Cortamos dos trozos de trapillo de unos 6 centímetros y lo pegamos sobre los extremos, de manera que queden cubiertas las puntas de la diadema. Cortamos el sobrante de trapillo al ras de la diadema.

Now it is time to place the rings and we place them with the help of tweezers. We count every three links of the braid and place a ring. We close the ring with the pliers. We must take care to maintain the spaces between one ring and another, and make sure that the rings are on both sides and in the same direction.

Es el momento de colocar las argollas y las colocamos con la ayuda de unas pinzas. Contamos cada tres eslabones de la trenza y colocamos una argolla. Cerramos la argolla con las pinzas. Debemos cuidar mantener los espacios entre una argolla y otra, y asegurarnos de que las argollas queden de uno y otro lado y en la misma dirección.

This headband, although simple, has a romantic and elegant touch. It is also a very flattering neutral color that can be worn by a girl of any age. In my particular case, I don't usually wear headbands because of the elongated shape of my face, however this one is very tempting and I think I'm going to wear it, I will surely have many good comments. I hope you like my project today. Está diadema, aunque sencilla, tiene un toque romántico y elegante. También es un color neutro muy favorecedor que puede ser usado por una chica de cualquier edad. En mi caso particular, no suelo usar diademas por la forma alargada de mi rostro, sin embargo está es muy tentadora y creo que me voy a animar a usarla, seguramente tendré muchos buenos comentarios. Espero que les guste mi proyecto de hoy. También estoy muy esperanzada en que prontamente pueda recibir atención médica para mis problemas oculares y poder nuevamente realizar todos los proyectos que se están gestando en mi corazón.
