ENG/ESP My first wire bracelet. / Mi primera pulsera con alambre.

As you can see, it's a nice and simple bracelet, it has no steps in its making process, but by attaching small silver colored charms to it, it significantly lifted its finish. I had several types of beads to use, all in neutral tones but I decided to place a pop of color with beads, you know, green which is my color.

Como ven, es una bonita y sencilla pulsera, no tiene pasos en su proceso de elaboración, pero al colocarle unos pequeños dijes en color plata, se levantó significativamente su acabado. Tenía varias tipos de cuentas para utilizar, todas en tonos neutros pero decidí colocar un pop de color con mostacillas, ya saben, de color verde que es mi color.

I started by bending a piece of wire, which by the way is very malleable as it is of a thin gauge. The wire measures approximately 70 cms, so when I folded it in half I had about 35 cms available to place the beads and tie. I placed a ring and then placed a 3 mm bead to tighten it a little. Then I placed a bead, but I realized that when I passed the next bead, which is completely transparent, the design deformed a little, so I decided to remove the bead.

Comencé doblando un trozo de alambre, que por cierto es muy maleable ya que es de un delgado calibre. El alambre mide aproximadamente 70 cms, así que al doblarlo a la mitad me queda disponible unos 35 cms para colocar las cuentas y amarrar. Coloqué una argolla y seguidamente coloqué una perla de 3 mm para ajustar un poco. Luego coloqué una mostacilla, pero me di cuenta, que al pasar la siguiente cuenta que es totalmente transparente, se deformaba un poco el diseño, por eso decidí retirar esa mostacilla.

Then I separated the wires, one would be for the beads and the other just for the beads, so I could keep the shape of the bracelet without it tending to twist. I passed six beads on one wire and on the other a smooth crystal. Then pass a 3 mm bead.

Luego separé los hilos, uno sería para las cuentas y el otro solo para las mostacillas, así podría mantener la forma de la pulsera sin que tienda a torcerse. Pasé seis mostacillas en un alambre y en el otro un cristal liso. Luego pase una perla de 3 mm.

The next step is the same but instead of a smooth crystal, we will place a 4mm bead. We repeat the process alternating crystals with pearls with crystals and we reach the required size.

El siguiente paso es igual solo que en lugar de una cristal liso, vamos a colocar una perla de 4mm. Repetimos el proceso alternando cristales con perlas con cristales y llegamos al tamaño requerido.

I placed a screw lock, I realized just when I finished that I only had gold colored parrot beak locks. I was tempted to put one in, but looking through all the leftovers from other projects I found this stopper. It's not one of my favorites, it always needs help to attach the bracelet. I think it's more for necklaces and because you can use both hands to close it. Still, it got me out of trouble.

Coloqué un trancadero de rosca, me di cuenta justo al terminar que solo tenía trancaderos pico de loro color dorado. Me sentí tentada a colocar uno, pero buscando entre todo lo que me va quedando de otros proyectos encontré este trancadero. No es de mis favoritos, siempre se necesita ayuda para colocar la pulsera. Creo que es más para collares y porque allí sí se pueden usar ambas manos para cerrarlo. Aún así, me sacó del apuro.

The bracelet is positioned to place the charms down, in the curves formed by the beads, as pendants I used links of a silver chain and I think it looks very good. I placed several small charms and a larger one in the shape of an oyster shell. These charms were left over from a job I did a long time ago and were quite appropriate for this bracelet.

Se posiciona la pulsera para colocar los dices hacia abajo, en las curvas que se forman con las mostacillas, como colgantes use eslabones de una cadena plateada y me parece que se ve muy bien. Coloque varios dijes pequeños y uno más grande en forma de concha de ostra. Estos dijes me sobraron de un trabajo que realicé hace mucho tiempo y me fueron bastante oportunos para esta pulsera.
