Hello everyone
Happy Sunday and a lovely day to you all my beautiful friends, lovers of creativity, members of this great community @diyhub and hive, it's nice to be here on this beautiful Sunday to share with you with great pleasure the design and making process of this beautiful and simple fabric tulip ponytail holder using the combination of two colors of fabrics to give it a beautiful outcome.
There are so many hair accessories out there and this is a simple and beautiful one i decided to try out today, i saw crochet tulip key holder and looking at it, it was so beautiful and i decided to try it out using fabric scraps since it is what i know what to work around with, this is my first trial and i so love the design so much as it is simple, easy to make and very useful. This can be used to hold a ponytail and it will look so nice on the hair.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process below.
First was to cut out 2 pieces of circle with a diameter of 3.5" and another circle of same shape from another color of fabric
Same colors were placed on the other same color and it was sewn together round
I made a notch in the middle where it was turned inside out and was neatly ironed
I cut out 10" of bias tape and it was sewn together to make a rope
It was placed in the middle and was secured on my sewing machine
I folded in both sides to the middle with one side overlapping the other a little and it was sewn together
I used my hand needle and thread to run a long stitch at the middle where i see on
Yhe needle and thread were use to tie and secure it firmly
Finally it was turned and opened on the other with the rope in the middle, this is the final outcome
The same process was repeated on the other end of the bias tape and this is the final outcome
I hope you like the simplicity and beautiful outcome of this design of my fabric tulip ponytail holder.
