It's a great and beautiful day out here and i hope you are doing having great time at your respective places, greetings to you all my friends, lovers of creativity and members of this great community as well as hive at large, it is my pleasure to share with you on this beautiful day the design of a simple fabric pouch with handle and zipper at the middle for a friend in church.
I have been making different bags and purse lately for myself that i go to church with and most times it compliments my outfit, since i use fabrics to make them, most people admires and appreciates my work , there are lots of orders i get from people that i need to work on especially since the last time i made a bag with the combination of colors of the day for the women wing anniversary outfit in church, well those orders will be done and delivered one after the other.
Last Sunday after service, a friend came to me and jokingly wanted me to give her the little pouch i went to church with, well, this is not new, thats how i give out most of my personal pouch to people when they like and admires it but this time, i told her i will make another one for her since i have a lot of left over fabric and this is what i finally made for her
Let's get started with the cutting and sewing process
From my left over fabric, i measured and cut out 7 x 14" with lining and interfacing ironed on the main fabric
I placed a zipper on the right side of the main fabric with the zipper head facing down then i placed the lining on it and it was sewn together at the tip
The same process was repeated on the other side and i top stitched on both sides
It was zipped together to locate the middle on both sides and it was notched
For the handle, i cut out a piece of 8 x 2" it was folded in and sewn on both sides
I placed the zipper and the place i notched together with the handle placed on the zipper and it was sewn together
It was sewn on both sides and i marked 1" on both sides and it was folded up just as seen below
It was sewn on both sides while the excess were trimmed off and it was turned inside out.
This is the final and beautiful outcome of the pouch i made for a friend in church with handle and zipper at the middle. I hope you like the simplicity and beautiful outcome.
