Hello everyone
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, i hope you are all doing great and having a great time out there, it's the beginning of a new month and i which us all a beautiful sail throughout this month and beyond in a positive way. I will be sharing with you all today in my blog the making of a simple card and cash wallet i made using pieces of left over fabrics.
Using left over pieces of fabric has been what i usually work with to creat beautiful, lovely and useful items, this has helped me in my sewing career to learn more about sewing different things, using my creativity to make nice items to give out as gift to others has made people around me love and appreciate my work. This is my recent creative design of a small wallet i made and I'm sure you will like it.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process
To make this wallet, i cut out a piece of fabric measuring 5.5 x 10" it was curved at the top, after which i ironed interfacing on it and a lining of same shape was cut out as well, i placed the lining on the right side of the main fabric and it was sewn together leaving an opening where it can be turned inside out
It was turned to the right side and neatly ironed before it was top stitched round
I cut out another piece of 4 x 10" from another fabric with interfacing ironed on it and a lining cut out as well, it eas seen together, turned inside out and top stitched round
I locate the middle to middle and it was placed together with a distance of 0.5" from the bottom
It was folded in and i sew on both sides
I turned it to the other side and folded both sides in just as seen below
It was folded up and i sew the other folded part to the other side of the wallet.
This is my beautiful and simple wallet with two pockets, i used my hand needle and thread to fix a pressing button to the middle of the flip cover and on the opposite side as well.
This is the final and beautiful outcome with my card and cash in each pocket, i hope you like the simplicity and useful outcome of my small wallet.
