Hello friends, I hope you are very well, this time I want to bring something made by me to participate in the monthly contest of the @DIYHub community. This time the topic to be discussed is the Moon. First of all, I want to congratulate all the people who have been encouraged to participate so far, I have seen some wonderful creations, all the participants have shown us their skills and the creativity has been something incredible, I feel very happy to be able to witness of their creations and be able to appreciate them. My work is about a wall lamp in the shape of the Moon, and to decorate inside I made lines as if it were a mandala, this lamp is made with cardboard that I took out of a box that I was no longer using, also I used hot silicone to join the parts and white cardboard. I tried to make a video, however the result was horrible, I don't know how the hell to make a good video and edit it, it's something I have yet to learn in order to better show my work. With nothing else to add, he left you with the step-by-step process of my work.
Hola amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien, esta vez quiero traer algo hecho por mi para participar en el concurso mensual de la comunidad @DIYHub en esta oportunidad la temática a tratar es la Luna. Quiero en primer lugar felicitar a todas las personas que hasta ahora se han animado a participar, he visto unas creaciones que son maravillosas, todos los participantes nos han mostrado sus habilidades y la creatividad ha sido algo increíble, me siento muy contento de poder ser testigo de sus creaciones y poder apreciarlas. Mi trabajo se trata de una luminaria de pared con la forma de la Luna, y para decorar en su interior hice trazos como si se tratara de una mandala, esta luminaria está hecha con cartón que saqué de una caja que ya no estaba utilizando, también utilicé silicón caliente para poder unir las partes y cartulina de color blanco. Trate de hacer un video, sin embargo el resultado fue espantoso, no se como diablos hacer un buen video y editarlo, es algo que tengo pendiente por aprender para así mostrar mejor mis trabajos. Sin más nada que agregar los dejó con el proceso paso a paso de mi obra.

I took the box and with a knife I disassembled it to use its largest parts, on one of the faces I made the moon in one of its phases, drawing its shape with a simple pencil. Once this was done, I began to draw inside using figures that are used in mandalas, in this case some leaves that become more circular as they move away from the center, until they completely fill the entire interior.
Tomé la caja y con una navaja la desarmé para utilizar sus partes más grandes, en una de las caras hice la luna en una de sus fases, dibujando su forma con un simple lápiz. Una vez hecho esto comencé a dibujar en el interior utilizando figuras que se usan en las mandalas, en este caso unas hojas que que a medida que se van alejando del centro se van tornando más circulares, así hasta rellenar por completo todo el interior.

The next step is to cut each and every one of the figures that I drew before. For that I use a razor and little by little very carefully extracting each figure, in this step I made several mistakes because the razor was too sharp, yes, when cutting there were parts that were damaged and that I had to repair later using glue. I extracted the first line that are similar to leaves and then I was extracting the circles one by one, this is the most complicated part of working with cardboard but it is the one that I enjoy the most, being able to make cardboard figures is the best.
El siguiente paso es cortar todas y cada una de las figuras que antes dibujé. Para eso utilizo una navaja y poco a poco con mucho cuidado muy extrayendo cada figura, en este paso cometí varios errores porque la navaja estaba demasiado afilada sí que al momento de cortar había partes que se estropearon y que luego debí reparar utilizando pegamento. Extraje la primera línea que son parecidas a hojas y después fuí extrayendo los círculos uno por uno, esta es la parte más complicada de trabajar con cartón pero es la que mas disfruto, poder hacer figuras en cartón es lo máximo.

After the previous step, I begin to make a panel to attenuate the light that it will have inside, the objective is that the lights are not seen but the glow of light, I use a white cardboard and cut it using the same pattern that I have already done so that it remains the same size. Then with school glue or you can also use hot or cold silicone, to be able to glue the already cut cardboard together with the cardboard that is already modeled.
Despues de el paso anterior comienzo a hacer un panel para atenuar la luz que llevará en la parte interna, el objetivo es que no se vean las luces sino el resplandor de luz, utilizo una cartulina de color blanco y la corto utilizando el mismo patrón que ya he realizado para que quede del mismo tamaño. Seguidamente con el pegamento escolar o también se puede usar silicón caliente o frío, para poder pegar la cartulina ya cortada junto con el cartón que ya está modelado.

Next I begin to make what would be the base of the light, which is nothing more than the hidden face of the moon. Thinking about it, the Moon is a wonderful symbol, it looks a lot like people, with a side that we all see but with another part that we don't know. This is how I make the other pattern of the half moon with cardboard, I cut it and then I give it shape by gluing a small wall of cardboard folded in a circular shape around the edge, about 4 centimeters. With a silicone gun I put glue all over the edge and then little by little I put the cardboard wall.

To finish I look for some lights, I used some that were left over from Christmas, there are always lights left over that one can use to do any craft. In this case, I had some blue ones left over, although I would have liked more red ones, to make a blood moon, but the blue color is beautiful, it transmits balance and positivity, but also some melancholy and sadness. I take the lights out of their box and distribute them inside the moon so that they can illuminate everything. Then I seal all the anetradas by placing the outer face of the moon on top, in this way it has been finished.
Para finalizar busco unas luces, utilicé unas que sobraron de navidad, siempre sobran luces que uno puede utilizar para hacer cualquier manualidad. En este caso me sobraron unas de color azul, aunque me hubiera gustado más unas de color rojo, para hacer una luna de sangre, pero el color azul es hermoso, transmite equilibrio y positividad, aunque también algo de melancolía y tristeza. Saco las luces de su caja y las voy distribuyendo en el interior de la luna para que pueda iluminar todo. Después sello todas las anetradas colocando encima la cara exterior de la luna, de esta manera ha quedado finalizado.

I could not publish yesterday, which was the deadline due to connectivity problems, but beyond the contest and competing, my commitment is to share something with you, since you do it with me by being able to see those beautiful creations, it makes me feel very proud to belong here and to meet such bright and creative people. Así quedó finalizado esta luminaria de pared con forma de luna, perfecta para darle equilibrio a tu habitación con una baja intensidad de luz gracias a su panel de papel, también podría hacerse con luz púrpura para dormir con un efecto neón. No pude publicar el día de ayer que era la fecha límite por problemas de conectividad, pero más allá del concurso y competir mi compromiso es el compartir algo con ustedes, ya que ustedes lo hacen conmigo al poder ver esas hermosas creaciones, me hace sentir muy orgullosod e pertenecer aquí y de conocer a personas tan brillantes y creativas.
