This theme of the 4 elements I quite liked, I looked for ideas, I thought a lot and here I am showing you my creation, I hope you like it 😊.
¡Hola a todos! Hace unos días vi en mi feed este concurso y me pareció muy interesante, he participado en varios aquí en Hive y me encanta, por eso no quise perderme este. Este tema de los 4 elementos me gustó bastante, busqué ideas, pensé mucho y aquí me tienen mostrando mi creación, espero les agrade 😊.
I tell you that I had a piece of etamine in storage, it is a special fabric for embroidery. I made a frame for it with blue thread, to make it look nicer, and then I started my work.
Les cuento que tenía un pedazo de etamina guardado, es una tela especial para bordar. Le hice un marco con hilo azul, para que se viera más bonito, y luego comencé mi obra.
I measured the space I had and calculated the measurements to design each element, because I decided to make all four. I started to draw them and although it took me a while to perfect them, I think I succeeded. I embroidered the Water first, with cross stitches..
Medí el espacio que tenía y calculé las medidas para diseñar cada elemento, porque decidí hacer los cuatro. Empecé a dibujarlos y aunque me costó un poco perfeccionarlos, creo que lo logré. Bordé primero el Agua, con puntos de cruz.
For this design I imagined some waves and fish, and that's how I did it, let's see what you think.
Para este diseño me imaginé unas olas y unos peces, y así lo plasmé, a ver qué les parece.
Of course to make this design you have to count each stitch, and I tell you that I got quite tired because I had not embroidered for years, but at the same time it is relaxing, believe me. I used to do it a lot when I was young, I have several squares, tablecloths and other pieces all hand embroidered, I had this passion, embroidering and also knitting 😊.
Por supuesto que para hacer este diseño hay que ir contando cada punto, y les digo que me cansé bastante porque tenía años que no bordaba, pero a la vez es relajante, créanme. Yo lo hacía mucho de jovencita, tengo varios cuadros, manteles y otras piezas todos bordados a mano, tenía esta pasión, bordar y también tejer 😊.
After the waves, I gradually made the fish among them.
Después de las olas, hice poco a poco a los peces entre ellas.
Secondly I made the Fire, I saw this design on the Internet and I interpreted it in my own way, it was not easy, but I think it looked nice. I started the base of the bonfire with an intense yellow color.
En segundo lugar hice el Fuego, este diseño lo vi por Internet y lo interpreté a mi manera, no fue nada fácil, pero creo que quedó bonito. Comencé la base de la hoguera con un color amarillo intenso.
This element was also embroidered all over with cross stitch. I then added more colors to achieve the flame effect.
Este elemento también lo bordé todo con puntos de cruz. Luego agregué más colores para lograr el efecto de las llamas.
Then came the turn of the Air, and since I made it in the form of swirls and was going to use another stitch to embroider it, I had to draw it first on paper and then trace it on the fabric.
Luego llegó el turno del Aire, y como lo hice en forma de remolinos e iba a utilizar otra puntada para bordarlo, tuve que dibujarlo primero en papel y luego calcarlo en la tela.
With my drawing on the fabric ready, I began to make these swirls, using the stitch known as the step back stitch.
Con mi dibujo sobre la tela listo, empecé a hacer estos remolinos, usando la puntada conocida como paso atrás.
In this way I embroidered the edges of the drawing, and I did it twice on each line to make the swirl look more defined.
De esta manera fui bordando los bordes del dibujo, y lo hice dos veces en cada línea para que el remolino se viera más definido.
Finally it was the turn of the Earth, and I came up with the idea of making the floor with a tree, using the previous technique and drawing the figure on the fabric.
Por último llegó el turno de la Tierra, y se me ocurrió hacer el suelo con un árbol, usando la técnica anterior y dibujando la figura sobre la tela.
To embroider this figure I used both cross stitch for the ground and the trunk, and backstitch for the branches of the tree.
Para bordar esta figura utilicé tanto el punto de cruz, para el suelo y el tronco, como la puntada paso atrás para las ramas del árbol.
In this case I filled in the shape of the branches much more because I wanted the tree to look leafy.
En este caso rellené mucho más la figura de las ramas porque quería que el árbol se viera frondoso.
After finishing the four elements, as there was space left on the fabric between them, I wanted to embroider in cross stitch letters the name of each one.
Después de terminar los cuatro elementos, como quedaba espacio en la tela entre ellos, quise bordar en letras a punto de cruz el nombre de cada uno.
Finally, I embroidered a separation between each element, in total it took me a week to finish it, but I think it was worth it, no matter the effort, what do you think?
Finalmente, bordé una separación entre cada elemento, en total me tomó una semana terminarlo, pero creo que valió la pena, no importa el esfuerzo, ¿qué les parece?
I'm going to hang this little square in the living room after I put a frame on it 😊. The 4 Elements: Water - Fire - Air - Earth, all necessary for life!
