I live in an ongoing fight with myself, and with the world that refuses to comply with my ideals of how I THINK
things should be.
I have PTSD, which manifests in lack of Anger Management mainly, but also OCD and lack of patience (but that goes with Anger Management doesn't it?🤔 )

Of late, this has mainly been a BIG issue with:
source
A. the vaccinations and
B. my internet/phone company.
In the former (A) I expect to be left alone RE: the second shot, I will get it when and if I am ready. I didn't NEED the first one, except to get the damned bloody card.
In the latter (B), I am paying for a service, paying rather handsomely I might add, to whit I expect my internet and phone to be WORKING. I realize there are incidents beyond the companies control, but still.
Beginning last Friday, I spent quite a bit of time on the phone, and online bitching about how my internet keeps dropping out, which requires ME to reset THEIR modem, something which as a user, I do not feel I should have to do.
Last Friday, I had to do that FOUR TIMES.
Saturday, they sent a technician out to see if he could determine the issue.
(original image)
He showed me a "Barrel Filter" outside, which SHOULD have been inside a protective box, which the Tech who installed my stuff last December neglected to do.
Prior to his visit on Saturday, my internet THAT day, had been stable.
After he left, Saturday night while I was watching Netflix, my internet dropped out again.
PISSED ME OFF!
I once again reset my Modem, then called them.
The nice lady said she ran all manner of checks and it all looked good now.
WELL OF COURSE IT DOES! I JUST RESET MY DEVICE!
she said perhaps it was just an anomaly. Okay fine, things happen.
Sunday, my internet DROPPED OUT AGAIN, this time the red light on my modem reappeared (The tech said that meant that there was a problem on the line, not with my system) so I called AGAIN, and they scheduled ANOTHER Tech visit for today.
Couple of hours later, I got a text from them saying that another worker had found a problem in my area that may have caused that red light, did I still want the tech visit?
DAMNED RIGHT I DO!,
but today, after NUMEROUS emails, phone calls and texts to REMIND ME of the appointment THAT I SET UP, and since I've had no issues since then, I contacted them to cancel it.
The nice guy who I was in contact with said he would give me an "Xfinity Flex Box and Remote" free of charge.
(That ↑ is a screen shot)
With that device, I can stream videos through my TV with the remote.
I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but if it works, I can move my Roku back here to my bedroom.
Then I can stream in either place; my livingroom on one end of the house, or back here in my bedroom.
It has been said, that
"Good Things Come To Those Who Wait",
or in another instance.
