My day was wonderful thanks to the creator, enjoying nature. It's been raining heavily, a time that the earth needed a break. Today my plants were radiant, so I went to see what I could find, to find inspiration by looking for some natural element to create an idea for my first entry in the July contest, with the theme of using natural materials.
During this search, I saw some dried palm leaves that had fallen a few weeks ago, and luckily I hadn't thrown them away. I've always thought they're beautiful and their material is ideal for making decorative designs. As soon as I saw them, several ideas came to mind. Today's first idea is to make a kitchen organizer bag. It's a cute bag that can be used to organize different things in the kitchen. I particularly like how it organizes bags, wipes, and even cookies.

Mi día estuvo estupendo gracias al creador, disfrutando de la naturaleza, ha estado llovió fuerte, ya hacía falta para que la tierra se diera un respiro, hoy mis plantas amanecieron radiantes, así que me fui a ver que conseguía, para inspirarme buscando algún elemento natural para crear una idea, para hacer mi primera participación en el concurso del mes de julio, con la temática del uso de materiales naturales.
En el proceso de esta búsqueda vi unas hojas secas de palmeras que habían caído, hace unas cuantas semanas y por suerte no las había tirado a la basura, ya que siempre he pensado que son hermosas y su material es ideal para hacer diseños decorativos, enseguida que las vi me surgieron varias ideas para hacer con ellas, la primera idea de hoy, se trata de la elaboración de un saco organizador para la cocina, es un lindo saco que se puede ser utilizado para organizar diferentes cositas en la cocina, yo particularmente me gusto como para organizar bolsas, pañitos y hasta galletas.
Los invito a que vean, como fue que hice este saco, con la parte de la hoja de palmera.

I was walking through my garden, I collected 2 dry stems of palm leaves and some branches of dry leaves, from another tree that had been pruned these days, I thought that these branches of dry leaves were very pretty, since they dried, with a nice color between green and brown, I loved the elongated leaves, I took them to use them in combination for this idea.
Estuve paseando por mi jardín, recogí 2 tallos secos de hojas de palmeras y unas ramas de hojas secas, de otro árbol que se había podado estos días, me pareció que estas ramas de hojas secas, eran bien lindas, ya que se secaron, con un lindo color entre verde y marrón, las hojas alargadas me encantaron, las tome para usarlas en combinación para esta idea.

I immediately went to the washing tub and began washing the leaves with powdered soap and a little bleach to make them really clean. I brushed them and removed all the residue that was stuck to them.
Then I dried them a little with a cloth to remove the excess water, but not completely dry them, as it's important to work with this material when it's wet, otherwise it will become damaged, harden, and break.
Then I gathered the rest of the materials and the tools I would use and got to work.
Enseguida fui a la batea de lavar, y comencé a lavar las hojas con jabón en polvo, y un poco de cloro para que quedaran bien limpiesitas, pase cepillo y retire todos los residuos que tenía pegados.
Luego seque un poco, con un paño, para quitar el exceso de agua, más no, para secar por completo, ya que este material es importante trabajarlo húmedo, de lo contrario se dañaría, se endurece y se rompe.
Luego reuní el resto de los materiales, y de las herramientas a utilizar y puse manos a la obra.

The next step was to mark and cut the damaged part of the material to be used, leaving a 50 cm long rectangle. Then, I marked 25 cm long and cut it in half to fold and shape it.
I then used a marker and a ruler to mark some points on the edges, at a distance of 2 cm, to make holes, and then I made two diagonal cuts to create the holes.
Lo siguiente fue marcar y cortar la parte dañada del material a utilizar, quedando un rectángulo de 50 cm de lago, después marque 25 cm de largo y marque por la mitad para doblar y darle forma.
Después marqué con un marcador y una regla, a una distancia de 2 cm, unos puntos en los bordes para hacer unos orificios, luego hice 2 cortes en diagonal para hacer los orificios.

Once I'd finished cutting all the holes, I cut some 1/2-cm strips the length of the leaf stem. I used these strips to close the sides of the bag. I made the strips from the stem of the other leaf.
I closed the sides by weaving the strips crisscrossed and tightening them at the same time.
Terminando de cortar todos los orificios, corte unas cintas de 1/2 cm por el largo del tallo de la hoja, estas cintas las utilice para cerrar los laterales del saco. Las cintas las hice con el tallo de la otra hoja.
Cerré los laterales, haciendo un tejido cruzado de cintas y ajustando al mismo tiempo.

I threaded the ends of the ribbons I used to close the sides through the edges of the bag to make a bow in the center and give it a more beautiful finish.
Las puntas de las cintas con las que cerré los lados las pase por los bordes del saco para hacer un lazo en el centro y darle un acabado más hermoso.

At this point this craft is ready just to be decorated, so I took several dried and aromatic leaves like eucalyptus, rosemary and menthol leaves, I glued them together making a bouquet with some hot silicone dots, for the center of the decorative bouquet foot, I used some dried flower buds, cut the stems and glued them.
En este punto ya esta manualidad está lista solo para ser decorada, así que tome varias hojas secas y aromáticas como hojas de eucalipto, romero y mentoladas, las fui pegando haciendo como un ramo con unos puntos de silicona caliente, para el centro del pie de ramo decorativo, utilice unos botones de flores secas les corte los tallos y los pegue.
Finally, you can see how beautiful this work looks. It's useful and made with easily available materials. The appearance of the material is truly beautiful, and it contrasts with the kitchen, whatever its color or decor. And it creates a pleasant aroma that complements the kitchen's atmosphere. I'm sure our guests will love this idea.
