Hello everyone @diyhub community and happy new month to us all.
Last month was great and i hope this month will be better.
I am glad to share with you all my first diy for the month,i made an earing for a friend from the pieces of a left over fabric i sewed for her.
She came to my shop to pick her dress unknown to her i had also made an earing from the pieces of fabric i had left.
When she came, she wore her gown and it was ok by her. she didn't leave immediately, she sat down with me and we gisted about many things,at a point she decided to go and i decided to give her the surprise.
I said to her, "this is just a token to say thank you for patronising me"
She was amazed and i saw her smile so beautifully and uncontrollably.
She was grateful and glad.
Here are the materials i used for the earing
- A piece of fabric
- Scissors
- Glue
- Big ring earrings
First step
The first step i took was simple,i cut out the fabric to a desirable length the fabric could reach, somesides were unequal but i had to manage it that way
But you can use a sizeable fabric of your choice for a better outcome.
Second step
I sewed through the edge of the fabric,i didnt do that to both sides i left one side open and i also sewed all through the vertical side.
Next step
With a use of a Safety pin i pull it out to the good side
I got the big ring earing and i push it through the fabric
After pushing in all the fabric,i used my glue to tighten it at the tip of it to avoid it from loosing out .
Finally, the earing was ready and i am glad i could create it.
