Hello, craft enthusiasts! It's a pleasure to greet you. Today I bring you a very simple but beautiful project. It's a magazine or notebook organizer made from a recycled box and jute fabric. Let's take a look at the materials and step-by-step instructions.
¡Saludos, entusiastas de las manualidades! Un placer saludarles. El día de hoy les traigo un trabajo muy sencillo pero bonito. Se trata de un organizador de revistas o libretas con caja reciclada y tela de yute. Veamos los materiales y el paso a paso.
We will need / Vamos a necesitar:
- Recycled box / Caja reciclada
- Jute fabric / Tela de yute
- Kraft paper / Papel Kraft
- Liquid silicone, white glue and scissors / Silicón líquido, pega blanca y tijeras
- Decorative ribbon and ornament / Cinta decorativa y adorno
To make this craft, we start by removing the top of the recycled box with a utility knife or scissors, as shown in the image. It should be noted that the size of the box will depend on what we have on hand at the time.
Para realizar esta manualidad, iniciamos retirando la parte superior de la caja reciclada con la ayuda de un cúter o tijeras, como vemos en la imagen. Cabe destacar que el tamaño de la caja va a depender de lo que tengamos a mano al momento.
We proceed to cover the box with Kraft paper. We do this to have a base of the same color as the jute fabric that we will use later, so that the original colors of the box are not noticeable, achieving a better finish. I used white glue for this.
Procedemos a forrar la caja con papel Kraft. Esto lo hacemos para tener una base del mismo color que la tela de yute que utilizaremos mas adelante, y así no se noten los colores originales de la caja, logrando un mejor acabado. Para esto utilicé pega blanca.
It's time to cover the box with jute fabric, also known as burlap, an ideal material for this type of craft project, as it gives our organizer a rustic yet beautiful look.
Es hora de forrar la caja con la tela de yute, también conocida como arpillera o tela de saco, un material ideal para este tipo de manualidad, ya que le da a nuestro organizador un estilo rústico pero a la vez hermoso.
As we can see, we must ensure that the box is well lined up to the inner edge. I used liquid silicone, but you can also use silicone in a stick.
Como podemos ver, nos debemos cerciorar de que la caja esté bien forrada hasta el borde interno. Yo utilicé silicón líquido pero también se puede utilizar silicón en barra.
Let's add a decorative touch with silk ribbon or whatever ribbon we have on hand in our preferred color. We attach it to the top edge of the box with silicone.
Vamos a dar un toque decorativo con cinta de seda o la cinta que tengamos a la mano del color de nuestra preferencia. La colocamos con la ayuda de silicón en la el borde superior de la caja.
Finally, we add a pretty ornament in the center of the piece to achieve a better finish. In this case, I chose a butterfly that I had saved from an old hair clip. The idea is to recycle as much as we can.
Finalmente, agregamos un lindo adorno en el centro de la pieza para lograr un mejor acabado. En este caso yo escogí una mariposa que tenía guardada de una antigua pinza de cabello. La idea es reciclar lo más que podamos.
