Hello, hello, dear friends of DIYHub. It's nice to be back. Today I want to show you how to make handmade buttons from an avocado seed. I invite you to join me in this process, and together we'll learn how to create our own handmade buttons. This way of making buttons from avocado seeds is all about recycling, as I use a material that would normally be thrown away to create something new and useful. This not only reduces waste but also encourages creativity and sustainability in crafts.
When I saw I could make buttons from an avocado seed, I didn't hesitate to try it and make my own. This is how I take advantage of the opportunity and learn a new craft. Let's never doubt what we can achieve, and if it's in our hands, let's do it! Crafts, handicrafts, or the simple act of making something, for me, is rewarding and very talented. It encourages me to create and learn more. When I saw I could make buttons from an avocado seed, I was surprised because I never imagined it was possible. So it was time to try it and see if I could make my own buttons. Now let's move on to the materials.

Paso nro 1
Paso nro 1
To begin this creation, we're going to cut the avocado seed into pieces that aren't too thick, but rather thin. Start by slicing the seed and see how many buds we can get from one seed. My mom was telling me that you can also dice it, since when she was a child, my uncles and I used to dice avocado seeds.

Paso nro 2

Now with the avocado seed sliced, let's take one of them. I'm going to try it first with a teardrop-shaped mold; I want to start with something simple to see if it turns out well, and then I'll try the other molds. Now, to get the shape, I'll just apply a little pressure, and it'll have the full shape. Now I'm going to make the holes; I'll make two, and that's how the first button looks.

Now, in this step, we're going to place the seed to dehydrate. I'm going to put it in a small electric oven I have, but only for a moment, not for long. You have to be careful not to burn the nubs.

After I saw that the button was dehydrated, I removed it from the oven and let it cool in the open air for a while. Then, using sandpaper, I began to shape and smooth it a little. I did the same with the other buttons. Some buttons were damaged in the process, but some survived. From what I see, it's not that easy to make a good button from an avocado seed, but they look good to me and I like how they turned out. Finally, I let all the buttons finish drying in the sun. Here are the buttons; you can see how they look in the photo. I also made smaller buttons with what was left of the avocado seed; I tried to get as much use out of it as possible.

(Resultado final:)(Bottom line:)
"I'm so happy with the outcome of my avocado seed buttons. This project not only allowed me to recycle a material that's normally thrown away, but it also gave me the opportunity to be creative and learn a new craft. I hope my experience inspires others to try it and explore their own creativity. Every little bit helps on the path to a more sustainable world!"
