Tired of tangled cables and plastic tech clutter?
So was I – so I built this cozy little cabinet from old pallet wood to charge all my devices: smartphones, smartwatches, powerbanks and more – without the mess. But not just functional – I wanted something that feels like it has a story.
Inspired by medieval furniture and my love for aged, weathered wood, I crafted this piece entirely by hand in my little workshop – using mostly traditional tools (okay… the circular saw had to help with the tiny boards 😅). The rest? Cut, planed, nailed, painted and assembled by hand with care, patience and lots of wood dust.
Every edge is slightly uneven, every surface tells a tale. It's not perfect – and that's exactly the point. It looks like it could’ve stood in an old monk’s cell, next to parchment scrolls and candlelight… but it hides modern tech inside.
Do you like old things with character, warmth and life?
Would you build something like this for your own home?
Let me know what you think – and swipe through the pictures to see how it came to life in my rustic workshop! ⚒️✨
Curious how I built it?
