Recently, my friend commissioned me to make a customized Halloween ghostie keychain for her. I think this is my 1st commission on a keychain, it's interesting. So I accepted it. She wants it to look the same as my recent work like this, but with an extra halloween candy, like the yellow and orange stripes ones. Well, I never made anything with stripes before, but I'll see what I can do.
I started with the hat 1st

Added the witch hat stripe, sculpted a tiny pumpkin, and the body of the ghostie.

Added the details for the little hat.

Did the eyes, but it just looks so off...

It looks off with the previous one, the feel is not there.

So I scraped it and make another one, this one looks better.

Time to put everything together!

Placed the hook and looking great. Now it's time for the candy.

I have a few ideas on how to make the candy stripes. This is the 1st attempt by staking different colour together, then rolled it in to a ball.

and ya it failed... So I tried another method.

I tried to rolled the yellow ball, then put the stripe on. The flat stripes beside is for the candy side.

Chopped.

One side sculpted.

Finish the other side of the candy, and done! But!
The candy tho...looks fine at 1st, but the more I look at it the more I feel its kinda clunky...

So, I made another candy. For the side of the candy, I did with the same method. For the middle part, I use the 1st method, but instead of rolling it, I chopped it in to a ball shape so it wont affect the pattern much, then lightly rolled it into a perfect ball. It works so well!

It looks less chunky then the previous one.

Baked and glazed!

How it looks like hanging up.

and sitting on my hand.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!👻
