It's about to get creepy up in here π§ββοΈπΉπ»π€‘
I have been practically begging @flowerbaby to get active on Hive again for months now. With the recent uptrend and success of Hive, I've pushed harder than ever. Never have I given her an ultimatum, but I am constantly reminding her of the opportunity to get creative and maybe even earn some decent rewards for doing so.
She has been telling me that she doesn't know what to post about. I understand that this type of thing doesn't always come easy for others as it does for me. I wake up daily fueled to create something new and I never really struggle with ideas. I knew that she had a similar capability, but had yet to discover her own creative skills on Hive.
She told me she was bored the other night and I said why not start working on your first post in months. To my surprise, she told me she had been thinking about how she could start posting about one of her favorite topics, #truecrime.
This girl likes to fall asleep to people reading stories about unsolved murders. She spends part of her free time looking up cases that have yet to be solved. I know for a fact that she would love to be able to turn her passion for true crime into something that she can do every day and be rewarded for it.
I saw my chance to motivate her and sent her several ideas for what I thought she would do with true crime content. I could tell we were on to something here. I knew I had to seize this opportunity while she was thinking about it.
Let's talk design π¨π»βπ¨
In the past, most of @flowerbaby's posts have been about her @flowersaur Etsy shop and the things she was making by hand. The vibes for that were much different than true crime and murder mysteries. I knew she needed a new image to go with her new type of post.
I asked her to send me a list of some of her favorite horror characters and tell me what colors she would like in her design. Of course, we needed a photo of her to use and her 2021 Halloween witch costume photo set worked perfectly for this.
She said I want Frankenstein, IT, Medusa, and Tales From the Crypt. Colors would ideally be purple, maroon, and a darker theme, please. That is all I needed to get started on my design work in Photoshop. In under an hour, I designed the image that you saw at the beginning of this post.
I went with a blood-like background and added in an alchemical sigil to add some more personality. Then I included all of the characters that she told me about. Of course, @flowerbaby herself is front and center along with some text. I freaking love how this design turned out. I was pretty impressed with my vision coming so clear in such a short amount of time.
What is next for @flowerbabyβ
I expect her to be releasing a lot of true crime content. To our surprise, there was already a community focused on this niche, albeit a dead one (no pun intended). @holovision created The True Crime Community in early 2020. Nobody is posting there, but @flowerbaby is about to take it over.
She has already released a few true crime posts since I designed this graphic for her. @flowerbaby/true-crime-template-with-tips and @flowerbaby/warren-county-john-doe-bowling-green-kentucky for instance.
I would be extremely grateful if you all took the time to go over and show her some love. I think she is already off to an awesome start and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with in the future.
If you aren't already, give @flowerbaby a follow and stay tuned for more true crime and murder mystery content to come soon.
