Energetic Kitten Crypta with 2 older cats Mochu and Garu
With a new kitten in a home already consisting of 2 big cats over 3 years old, there are bound to be lots of stories to tell. I was thinking of having cat Garu narrate this cat tale, however the cat ended up just showing his tail, he is evidently in no mood to help with story narration.

Although kitten Crypta has settled down most comfortably in my home, (as I am trying to find it another home), my other two cats are showing some change of behavior. Both Garu and Mochu are meowing like kittens, their volume is down by about 70%, does not look like they are happy about kitten Crypta, although they have accepted her.

Also their playful spirit has come down to a large extent, mostly because Crypta is far too energetic for the other two cats to play with. Garu sulks, while Mochu tries to participate but all the time Crypta catches that dangling toy and with anger the frustrated white cat paw beats kitten Crypta, well that’s how it is.
Wet food breakfast time together - Crypta and Mochu

Else Crypta, eats adult cat food from the plates of the two cats, runs up to the plate along with Mochu when it sees a wet food pouch being opened. So, Mochu and Crypta eat breakfast together, when I have to simultaneously serve them wet food( both of them too eager to rush in that first serving of wet food)
Playtime Crypta is a time Mochu gives her paw beatings

Nowadays, Mochu is chased around by Crypta, when earlier Garu was, that’s one time Mochu gets exercise. At playtime, nearly all the dangling toys are caught squarely by Crypta, she runs, chases, grabs, does high jumps, that poor Mochu simply stares waiting for Crypta to come near it to give her some paw beatings!!
Garu has become a solitary and quiet creature

The once playful Garu, mostly sleeps, occasionally makes kitten noises, does not bother about play. Before Crypta came, he used to catch, run, go inside cardboard boxes, scratch them off, pounce into cat tunnel toys and do other naughty things but in the past few days, Garu is out of the way minding his own business. Although he still hangs around in the balcony, I hope that cheerful side of Garu comes back soon!!
Here are photos of a Saturday play session with Garu before the arrival of Crypta.

Garu stays away from Crypta’s tail biting business

Garu's subdued essence slightly worries me. He does not like Crypta pouncing on him. When she is next to Garu, she catches and bites Garu’s tail, which he dislikes, so with a hiss goes to lie down away from Crypta. She is full in the mood to bite everyone and no one likes it, first person being me, next being Garu and after this disapproval she is busy biting this and that, thankfully the old toys got for Garu when it was younghelps in engaging this super active kitty.
2 weeks of energetic, playful, silly kitten Crypta

Today is the 16th day of Crypta at home, and I have stopped bothering with hurrying for someone to take her home, wondering if she would become the new normal in my house.

It will be nice to give her away, but I really can’t dump her without finding a good home for her. Other than more money for its wet food and litter I am fine with Crypta actually, she’s a ton of entertainment, makes me laugh several times, when she chases big cats, when she jumps high and catches the dangling toy with irritated Mochu giving paw beatings to her. Once that kitty jumped into my plate when I was eating, she licked the gravy from her paw, silly girl!!

I also have to vaccinate her and spray her this month, which is an investment on her, something I just must do, if she’s not adopted soon!!

Other than this, Crypta is really loving too with that easily emitted purring vibrations welcoming you most of the times. She has not once displayed the need to be alone much, always excited seeing you and being with you. Crypta settled with me, way before she came home, and settled home that very movement she entered it with ease actually, very sweet and loving kitten she is for sure!!

Long before she started chasing Garu, then Mochu, she was chasing me, as I was trying to stay away from her after initial play, food and interaction. She has prevailed over me and the cats and my Dad, to accept her presence, a step more than mere toleration.
More cats in the picture outside my home

Outside of my home, around my flat premises other cat tales keep happening. There is Meow cat, that I see visiting to eat in the first floor but stop feeding wet food ever since Crypta’s come home, all wet feed goes to my 3 home cats.
Daily wet food business - 1 and a half packet finishes like this

Garu is a fussy wet food eater, and I can make him eat a bit of wet food only by starving him daily. So he takes some wet food as I serve it chunky bits of wet food spoon by spoon, however, it leaves behind a lot of wet food mostly taking the liquid and leaving dry chucks behind. Post this I release Mochu from the room, who is super eager to eat wet food that he knows is being fed to Garu. At times, Mochi leaves some portion of wet food off but you can rely on Crypta to lick the plate totally clean.
Meow cat looks expecting
I feel Meow is pregnant again and today from my flat pet parent wats up group I see people are thinking of spraying Meow, problem is there were at least two lost kitties in the flat, one being Crypta another looks like its sibling named Misty, not sure how the latter is surviving. However, it was crying and someone weeks back took it to the doctor, at the time when Crypta was just brought home.
Today, this kitten was stranded somewhere at a top spot in the flat and it was rescued by two ladies, although I don’t know the details that well, since I was not there present at the rescue scene. So, more lost kittens is a problem, if the mom cat is not around, or gets lost, spraying Meow is required so she does not birth kittens again and again.
But what a beautiful cat she is, my George - Meow cat!!
That’s it for now… and the dilemma remains weather to give away Crypta or not, in time things will be even more clear, but I can’t give it without finding a home who would care for it and keep it well!!
