Not such a happy Caturday
Today is one of the first free Saturdays in a long while where I am able to write a cat post. However alas, even today I am afflicted slightly with cat worry preventing the day from being a cheerful, happy Caturday!!
Something missing in the little cat lot!!
Last Saturday was Meow’s spaying operation, it happened well, she was released after 2 days on Monday and she rejoined her 3 kittens. Meow is fine, however, I have noticed that only 2 kittens are showing up on the compound wall with her for the past few days, it may unfortunately mean that one of her kitties is missing.
Brief relief wiped away after Meow is being constantly spoted with one less kitten
All this time after her release I was worried about Meow’s stitches - has it healed?, will the kitties tear them away etc etc. Only when 4 days of her operation was over and the near by doctor confirmed that her stitches and wound has healed did I get relieved. However, now with one kitten not showing up, all my relief and gladness is subdued.
Was the time I took her away to the doctor, the time one kitty wandered off?
I had taken Meow to the doctor on Wednesday just to have her stitched skin taped in case for protection, at that time again she was temporarily taken away from her kitties for 4 hours in the morning, after which I released her. I have a feeling maybe in that 4 hour period one kitty missed the mom cat and wandered somewhere.
Leave Outdoor cats alone without intervening unnecessarily
So, that’s it, spayed Meow, reunited her with her 3 kitties, and then 2 days later took her to the doctor and after that one of her kitties is not showing up!! So, maybe I should have just left Meow where she was instead of taking her to the doctor after her release. I have been advised by cat activists to not intervene with outdoor cats wherever unnecessarily, it causes more harm than good. Therefore, if her stitches were intact and the wound looked fine, why did I have to take her away to the doctor?. Anyway.
Mom life’s around her two kittens and some outdoor time in my flat
Else, Moew is loving her 2 kitties being with them mostly. Earlier at least she used to leave them alone, now mostly I see her be near her kittens.,jumping out just to roam a little, demand and eat food from the residents of my flat and come back to stay near her kittens. When Mom is out the 2 kittens emerge on the compound wall and meow, while their Mom is somewhere down the wall in the flat compound grounds. Many times, today morning I have seen her jump on the wall and lick the kittens while the kittens go get close to get those licks, and they still seem to have a go getting underneath Mom for her milk, although I think they are outgrowing that stage, being easily at least 2 months old by now for sure.
My Two Pet cats who broke showpieces
Meanwhile my two house cats broke some showpieces in the hall area of my house. This was on Wednesday when I was going to take Meow to the vet after capturing her in the morning and locking her in the room. They climbed up the cupboard to a rack which was left open. They they jumped on it and bingo all the showpieces fell down and broke.
And if your wondered who tore my brown chair's cushion in the above photo, you know the culprits, my two house pet cats!!
Cat inspection of Boarding cage got last Thursday!!
Earlier when I got cage to board Meow last week on Thursday, both these cats inspected the cage. Of course I never locked them in!!
I end here, I do hope that the 3rd kitten of my flat's Calico cat, Meow is there about in those bushy covered grounds, although I know it’s likely that it has gone, else it would have showed up on the compound wall by now.
Here’s a video of Cat Meow with her 3 kittens taken a week ago.
Last week's post on Cat Meow , that time her 3 kittens were there about happily getting loving licks from Mom and I have seen them playing several times all these weeks happily and coming up to the compound wall too, but anyway, have to move on.
