Today I have taken a break from all my chores because I want to share with you an amazing drink that I prepared to refresh the afternoon while I was writing about a Cuban singer. I made a punch. It occurred to me that in our environment there are many #plants with amazing powers and that sometimes we don't take them into account.
This time I went for the Caña Santa, according to sources also known as Caña de limon, Limonaria and Zacate de limon. This plant is from the grass family. I remember my mother making Caña Santa tea to reduce fevers. Of the medicinal or aromatic plants, it is one of the most pleasant to the palate and smell. The citrus smell is delicious. It is known for various properties: Anticatarrhal, febrifuge, antitussive, stomachic, carminative, diaphoretic, expectorant, anxiolytic.
Ingredients
For this drink I chose 10 healthy leaves and chopped them with scissors into small pieces, 50 ml of brandy, honey and pieces of ice.

Preparation
The preparation is simple. I put a saucepan on the heat with 750 ml of water and pour in the chopped leaves. It is enjoyed for its pleasant aroma, Caña Santa quickly fills the spaces. It is an unmistakable smell Let it boil for 5 minutes, it should be concentrated so that the flavor can stand out in the mixture.

We strain the liquid through fine mesh because the blade is rough and sharp, then we put the liquid to cool.
We now have the products ready to make our amazing drink Ponche de Caña Santa First I put ice to my liking in a glass. The glass will give me the transparency and beauty of the drink, aesthetics are important for full enjoyment.
Then I add a tablespoon of honey or white sugar if you prefer. I put 50 ml of cane liquor, an alcohol derived from sugar cane and that I use frequently because it is strong and transparent, with no alternative flavor. And I add the desired amount of cana santa infusion, in this case 100 ml.

Everything about this drink is delicious, the citrus smell, the refreshing and medicinal properties as well as the lemon green color that is so pleasing to the eye.

Te invito a un Ponche de Caña Santa
Amigos de @Amazingdrinks, estaba deseosa de volver a visitarlos. #Hive en su diversidad de temas me mantiene activa, además la cotidianidad nos reduce las horas.
Hoy he hecho un alto en todos los quehaceres porque deseo compartirles un asombroso trago que preparé para refrescar la tarde mientras escribía sobre un cantante cubano. Preparé un ponche. Se me ocurrió que en nuestro entorno hay muchas #plantas con poderes asombrosos y que a veces no tomamos en cuenta.
Esta vez fui a por la Caña Santa, según las fuentes también conocida también como Caña de limón, Limonaria y Zacate de limón. Esta planta es de la familia de las graminias.
Recuerdo a mi madre haciendo el té de Caña Santa para bajar fiebres. De las plantas medicinales o aromáticas es una de las mas gratas al paladar y al olfato. El olor cítrico es delicioso. Es conocida por diversas propiedades: Anticatarral, febrífugo, antitusivo, estomáquico, carminativo, diaforético, expectorante, ansiolítica.
Ingredientes
Para este trago escogí 10 hojas sanas y las piqué con la tijeras en pequeños trozos, 50 ml de aguardiente, miel de abeja y trozos de hielo.

Preparación
La preparación es sencilla. Pongo una cazuela al fuego con 750 ml de agua y vierto las hojas picadas. Se disfruta por el aroma tan agradable, la Caña Santa inunda los espacios rápidamente. Es un olor inconfundible
Dejo hervir por 5 minutos, debe quedar concentrado para que el sabor pueda resaltar en la mezcla.

Colamos en maya fina el líquido porque la hoja es áspera y filosa, luego ponemos el líquido a refrescar.
Ya tenemos los productos listos para hacer nuestro asombroso trago Ponche de Caña Santa
Primeramente pongo hielo a mi gusto en una copa. La copa me dará la transparencia y belleza del trago, la estética es importante para el disfrute pleno.
Luego agrego una cucharada de miel de abeja o de azúcar blanca si prefieres.
Pongo 50 ml de aguardiente de caña, un alcohol derivado de la caña de azúcar y que uso frecuentemente porque es fuerte y transparente, sin sabor alternativo.
Y agrego la cantidad de infusión de caña santa deseada, en este caso 100 ml.

Todo de este trago es delicioso, el olor a cítrico, las propiedades refrescantes y medicinales así como el color verde limón tan agradable a la vista.
Aquí les presento el trago asombroso con ingredientes sencillos. Nuestra creatividad ha de estar en función de nuestra necesidad de disfrute. No solo se disfruta en compañía sino mientras hacemos nuestra rutina, leemos o descansamos.
Es un trago delicioso también sin alcohol por lo que podemos compartirlo según la preferencia.
