Today I come to share a super delicious smoothie that I just enjoyed to complete my breakfast.

A thick smoothie, with a subtle but striking color.

Hoy vengo a compartir un batido super delicioso que acabo de disfrutar para completar mi desayuno.

Un batido espeso, de color sutil pero llamativo.

Satiating and full of flavor, a delicious blend of cereal and fruit. This time I went back to using one of my favorite fruits for smoothies and desserts, to delight myself with its fragrance that truly honors its exotic flavor...

Of course, I am referring to passion fruit, a real charmer, with so many goodness and vitamins, it loads my drink with its irresistible essence.

Saciante y lleno de sabor, una mezcla deliciosa de cereal y fruta. Esta vez volví a usar una de mis frutas favoritas para batidos y postres, para deleitarme con su fragancia que hace verdadero honor a su exótico sabor...

Claro que me refiero a la maracuyá, un verdadero encanto, con tantas bondades y aporte de vitaminas carga mi bebida de toda su esencia irresistible.

Ingredients for 2 very full glasses:

• 1/2 cup oat flakes.
• 1 juicy passion fruit.
• 2 tablespoons powdered milk.
• 2 tablespoons of sugar.
• 1 teaspoon vanilla.
• 2 and 1/2 cups of filtered water.
• Enough water to wash the oats.

Ingredientes para 2 vasos bien llenitos:

• 1/2 taza de avena en hojuelas.
• 1 maracuyá bien jugosa.
• 2 cucharadas de leche en polvo.
• 2 cucharadas de azúcar.
• 1 cucharadita de vainilla.
• 2 y 1/2 tazas de agua filtrada.
• Agua suficiente para lavar la avena.

Preparation // Preparación:

I washed the oat flakes under running water to remove some of the starch and make it more digestible.

I put it over medium heat with 2 cups of water until it started to boil, stirring frequently to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

Lavé los copos de avena bajo el chorro de agua para quitar un poco el almidón y hacerla más digerible.

La llevé a fuego medio con 2 tazas de agua hasta que empezó a hervir, removí con frecuencia para evitar que se pegue al fondo de la olla.

With the oatmeal still cooking, I added half a cup of water in the blender cup along with the passion fruit, milk and sugar. I blended everything very well and strained.

Con la avena aún en cocción, agregué media taza de agua en el vaso de la licuadora junto a la maracuyá, la leche y el azúcar. Dejé licuar todo muy bien y colé.

I added the smoothie to the oatmeal that was still on the stove, stirred everything very well. I let it cook over low heat for about 5 more minutes and then let the preparation cool, covered so that the flavors would integrate.

Agregué el licuado a la avena que aún estaba en la cocina, removí todo muy bien. Dejé cocinar a fuego bajo por unos 5 minutos más y luego dejé enfriar la preparación, tapada para que los sabores se integraran.

When it cooled I blended everything together with a teaspoon of vanilla. And it was ready to serve.

Cuando se enfrió licué todo junto a una cucharadita de vainilla. Y ya estuvo listo para servir.

If you like it cold, serve it with ice or let it cool in the refrigerator, although if you drink it hot or warm it is also a delicious option, it depends on the taste of each person. Either way, it is a tasty and satiating drink.

Si te gusta bien fría, sirve con hielo o deja enfriar en la nevera, aunque si se bebe caliente o tibia también es una opción deliciosa, depende del gusto de cada quien. Se como sea, es una bebida sabrosa y saciante.
