And here we are! A new year is knocking on the door, and it’s time to say goodbye to the Market Musings of 2024. What will replace them in 2025? No idea. Maybe something exciting, perhaps nothing. It’ll remain a mystery, just like the crypto market itself.
Pump, or Pump & Dump?
But let’s not waste time. What does this last week of the year have in store for us? First of all: Hive has made a jump. A big one. But before we all get too excited and pour champagne to celebrate, the inevitable question arises: can Hive sustain this rise? This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a pump like this, and let’s be honest, it won’t be the last. But the real question is: what now? Can we maintain this higher price, or is this just a classic pump-and-dump? My gut feeling is that the price will already be dropping by the time you read this.

The Bull Market Ending Soon?
Let’s hope Hive keeps up its momentum for a while — or better yet, shoots higher. But be realistic: don’t get too excited. The first warnings about the end of the bull market have already been signaled. Analyst Jason Pizzino claims that the current bull market is closer to the end than we think. And while I was reading that, I was still convinced that the real bull market had yet to begin! Sigh. Are we ready for another four years of a bear market? I don’t know about you, but I certainly am not.
Contradiction Spotted!
For those who are interested: you can read Pizzino’s analysis here. He is convinced that we should be on our guard, but… the same Jason Pizzino stated five days earlier that altcoins are preparing for a huge rally. Yes, a major contradiction! He bases this prediction on the price trend of Ethereum, which is similar to what we saw in 2020. For those who remember: in December 2020 Ethereum seemed to collapse, but from January 2021 it shot up rapidly. If history repeats itself, we are in for a good time. But it also means that the end of the bull market may be approaching sooner than we hope. You have been warned!
Will 2025 Be Bullish?
And as always in crypto: nothing is certain. Some analysts claim that Bitcoin will not peak until September or October 2025. In that scenario, 2025 will be a bullish year, with altcoins possibly peaking later. Sounds like a dream, right? But who is right? No idea. The crypto world remains a big mystery that even the most experienced analysts often disagree on.
