The Flame
A lot of you will be wondering why I started "The Flame" -- another useless pet project of mine some will think, others, writers, will like the idea, and perhaps want to join.
But The Flame has many levels to it than what meets the eye.
Onlookers will see an invite only community for users of The Brotherhood Community.
But if you delve down a level deeper then what I've created is a nice little publication. A gathering of selected artists; a select few who choose to burn with The Flame.
All communities have these types of publications -- even on Medium. WordPress has them too. It gives Authors a place to call home and a chance to get known by the wider community.
I'm sure soon those that post on The Flame will be invited to post elsewhere and I have absolutely no problems with that. Share and share alike is my mantra.
Authors of The Flame get special privileges in the Brotherhood discord. They get shiny roles, badges, a secret room, and access to new material before anyone else does.
Posting on The Flame also earns you the greatest amount of Pyresoul in any one sitting -- for it is hard to post to The Flame; it requires conscience and memory. It's not for the faint of heart.
But then if you delve a little deeper then what I'm curating is a squeaky clean community of zero AI, self written posts from authors that would rather douse themselves in petrol and set themselves on fire than use AI to do their work for them.
It is also impossible to use AI for a Flame post; AI cannot mimic that which requires soul -- if you read every post from The Flame each and every person that posts there leaves a mark of themselves within the writing.
Something AI just can't mimic, for now anyway.
This is why posts need to be done that way.
Anyway, on that level soon curators will click on.
They will resist for now, but it will be inevitable come time when we start to onboard large quantities of people, if the bull market takes shape.
One of the biggest problems Hive has is auto-voting. And I understand why it happens because curation on here is just so damn hard.
Sometimes it takes 2 hours of endlessly searching through reams of absolute tripe to get to the good stuff.
Yes, I am a terrible auto voter myself, I do not have 2-3 hours to curate. It shouldn't take that long.
And yet, if you look at the flame? 5-10 minutes and you'll be done. Each post a chefs kiss to writing.
No rubbish posts.
No spam.
No AI.
Cool huh? Why needlessly curate for 20 hours when you can shave that down to 10 mins max. Curating The Flame does that for you.
But it's not only that you see -- all Flame authors bear the mark of the scribe. If you don't completely agree with what we do at The Flame then you can absolutely check out their PeakD badge and curate that -- I can guarantee -- no fluff, no AI, all awesomeness.

Just hit that badge as shown in the post above and you'll get every single awesome post from our scribes -- and I can guarantee you they are 100% curation worthy and 5 minutes on that badge and you'll be done.
The last layer of my plan is outside influence.
Once I've got enough writers to the Flame and we are doing good -- then we have a platform to promote to the outside world. To writers and readers alike.
Because yes, people will actually want to read our posts believe it or not.
And maybe we can start looking at attracting outside audiences.
And then we'll just grow from there, hopefully.
It's a plan at least.
