For this purpose, I stay at the house of my well-known brother in Dhanmondi near Farmgate area for easiest travel. There is four members in this room, including me. I didn’t know anyone except Tofayel Bhai (brother). The day I first got up in Rome, Tofayel bhai introduced me to the others. They were the friends of Tofayel Bhai. Together they studied in the Department of Textile Engineering at Daffodil International University.
Within a few days I had a very good relationship with everyone in this Room. All members of this room were very good-hearted people. Especially, Jewel Bhai used to take care of me a lot. He always asked me, what is my feeling. Am I feels good or bad! He often took me out to visit Dhaka city. I have never been away from my family before. So often I was upset. But the brothers in this Room were very supportive. Within a few days I was able to adapt in this Dhaka city.
Everyone in this Room became another family to me. I loved chatting with my brothers, visiting Dhanmondi Lake with them, likes to eating food which was cooked by Jewel Bhai. Jewel and Tofayel Bhai always advised me like their younger brother. I was enjoying my times in this Dhaka city.
Suddenly one afternoon I didn't feel good. In this time, 2018 Football World Cup was going. Tonight was the game of Brazil vs Mexico. We all members of this room is the fan of Brazil National Football team. So, our plan was to watch the game of Brazil tonight. In the evening of the day I feel a mild fever. As time passing, the condition of my body was deteriorating. The match of Brazil teams started at 11.30 pm of the night. I also sit with the brothers and watching the game. But after a while my fever level went up a lot and I couldn’t be sited on there. So, I went to bed for taking rest.
Suddenly there is a tremendous tingling sensation in the body and I continue to lose control over my body. The brothers sitting next to me noticed the situation of mine. The brothers were horrified to see my body deteriorating. It was late at night. As there was no vehicle nearby. Tofayel Bhai carried me on his shoulders and left for the hospital. After walking for about half an hour, they rented a CNG and left for Dhaka Medical. After reaching to the hospital, he carried me on his shoulders to the sixth floor of the hospital because there was no Stretcher in the gate of this medical. Then they admitted me to this hospital.
Then the doctor gave me some medicine. After 2 hours latter, my body became a little normal. My roommate’s stay with me in the hospital all night I had trouble sleeping because I didn't have a pillow in the hospital bed. Jewel bhai sat next to me all night and put his hands under my head so I could sleep a little better. I felt very lucky that day. My own elder brother might not have done so much for me. As my condition improved in the morning, everyone came back home with me.
When the roommate’s informed my family, my father came to take me home around 10 o'clock. I am a very dear child of my parents. My father shed tears of gratitude to the brothers that day. I don't think there is any way to repay them for what they have done for me, even though I have no blood relationship with them. When I got sick again after going home, all the brothers came to see me. They always encouraged me about everything. My family and I will be forever grateful to them.
So, I can proudly say, “All the people who lived in Dhaka city are not selfish, some are big hearted”
