HIVE has revolutionized the social media/blogging platform concept. Everything you create has #value. In traditional platforms like facebook, youtube, all of that value goes to a central entity. They use your content to make #money. This is where blockchain based social media has changed the game. Whatever value your content generates, you get a fair share of it! So what are the ways you can #earn #hive on the HIVE blockchain?
For Content Creators
For content creators it's pretty straight forward. You create good, original content and if people like your content they upvote you and the strength of the upvotes you get determines the payout of your posts. You can post articles, you can post videos, you can showcase your painting or photography skills....about anything that is original, it has value on HIVE.
Now, it's not that easy when you are first starting out. If you're expecting to just get a HIVE account and start posting content and earn upvotes, that's not really how it works. That would be too good to be true! What you need to realize is, HIVE is not a money printing machine. It is a social media platform, and in the end you have to treat it like that. A social media. What do you do on a social media/ You interact with people. Yeah, that's exactly what you have to do here as well.
When you are an absolutely new user on HIVE, how do you expect us to know who you are from day 1? You need to announce yourself to the chain! You need to make yourself seen, you need to let your presence be known and the best way to do is to go and interact with people first. Find content creators that you like or content creators that are producing content you are interested in. If you a are a person who enjoys reading scientific articles, go visit the StemSocial community. If you like poetry or creative writing, go to the InkWell community and find authors who are producing wonderful poetry. Maybe you wanna interact with people from your own country, find the community of your country.
Once you've found some authors you like, interact with them. Leave comments on their posts, engage with them and they'll surely be checking your profile out and see what you're all about. And that's how you make yourself, and your posts known here!
Engagement is the first Step to begin earning HIVE via content creation!
There are many, many communities doing manual curation now on HIVE. They are seeking out good, under-rewarded authors from all over the platform and yesterday should have been when you started sharing your content here on HIVE!
Put some effort in making your content stand out, make them unique, you will surely get noticed!
The second way for content creators to earn HIVE is to participate in contests. Contests are happening all the time here on HIVE! Photography contests, Creative Writing contests, Food Blogging contests, Art/Design contests....tons and tons of contests. Participating in these contests is an excellent to earn some of those sweet honey filled HIVE! And the prizes are pretty attractive too. Just recently, in the BDCommunity Writing Contest the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position won 50, 30 and 20 HIVE respectively. Additionally the winner @zayedsakib was awarded 1000 HIVE by our guardian angel @azircon for his excellent article, that made him stand out from 75 participants! So if you though getting curated was the only way to earn HIVE, you're in for a pleasant surprise here on HIVE!
What if You're Not a Content Creator
Well, if you're not a content creator, there are still tons of ways for you to #earnHIVE.
First up is Manual Curation. You use your staked HIVE POWER to upvote content you like, and whatever you vote is worth, you get roughly 50% of that share back as more Staked HIVE. So it's like, your stake HIVE POWER keeps growing as you curate!

No worries, got ya covered! There are 2 ways you can still use your stake to earn HIVE.
- If there are certain authors you see are always producing good content and you want to always grace them with your upvote, you can add them to your Auto-Upvote List on HIVE.VOTE and you'll still keep getting your curation rewards, without the work of manual curation.
- If you're not sure you really know which authors you should be voting for, then find a Curation Team who is already manually curation content. You can then follow their Curation Trail on HIVE.VOTE ad whichever article they curate, your vote goes to them as well and you get your share of the curation reward.
Hmm, staked HIVEs are cool, but I do need some liquidity.
Don't Worry, still 2 more ways to go mate!
- You can Lease your HIVE Power on DLease.io and people will pay you upfront in liquid HIVE to get a specified amount of HIVE POWER from your stake for a specific period of time, after which, you get back your HP and least it out again to someone else who wishes to take the lease from you.
- You can also manually select who you want to delegate to. there are a lot of manual curation services that will pay you back on a daily basis in liquid HIVE depending on the amount of HP you've delegated to them. As long as you are delegating to them, you'll keep earning liquid HIVE daily. Some examples of manual curators who are doing a fine job in improving the platfor are @bdvoter, @ocdb, @upmewwhale, @appreciator. There are tons of manual curation teams! Look around and find the ones that suits you the best!
