Another month ends and it's time to document the last month's weather data from my own weather station. I am pleased with the number of guesses I got on my weather game last month. You had to guess the strongest wind gust speed I get in November. Congratulations @sjarvie5, you guessed 42mph, a very close one. The strongest wind gust in November was 18.4m/s( 41.15mph ). 10 HIVE will be sent to you shortly.
Also, thanks to others for participating @malos10, @clareartista, @cryptopaddy801, @cmnphotos. Don't forget to participate again.
Weather Game Round 3
In the weather game round 3 of December, you have to guess the MAXIMUM temperature of December. This is a winter month and we already have snow on the ground. Will it get warm again and snow melts? Who knows. So, what do you think, how warm will it get in December and how high the temperature can climb?
Drop your wild guess below in the comments. Your temperature guess can be in Celsius C, Fahrenheit F, or even Kelvin K. Whatever is suitable for you.
Only one guess per person.
No one knows the right answer yet, it will be decided by the month of December. My monthly summary below might help you decide a bit.
The closest guess will win 10HIVE.
The game is open for your guesses until the 17th of December.
November weather summary
As always, all the data and charts come from my own weather station on my roof and is extremely accurate. You can find the October summary here
Temperature and Humidity
The start of November was exceptionally warm, way warmer than average. The maximum temperature here reached 13.3C (56F) on the 12th of Nov, which broke November warmth records here in Estonia. This is what you need to guess in the weather game this time.
From the mid-month, the temperature fell fast below zero, recording the lowest temp on 20th Nov at -8.3C (17F). The average of the month was 2.7C( 36.8F )
Humidity was up pretty much constantly with a monthly average of 87%. Only a couple of events when the air went dryer like on 18th Nov when humidity dipped to 63%
Solar energy and UV radiation
Solar energy has dropped to really low measures and the trend is still down as seen on the chart. This time of the year sun is so low will get even lower.
UV radiation is also almost nonexistent. Only 3 days this month when I have had a UV 1 measured, otherwise it's zero. I wonder if I get any reading in December at all.
Rainfall
Precipitation has been moderate with a monthly total of 34mm( 1.33in ) of rainfall. This is unfortunately not an accurate precipitation count anymore because the end of the month has seen snow only. My weather station does not measure snowfall. Judging by my eye, I can tell you that we have about 7cm (2.75in) of snow outside right now.
The above graph shows the rainfall rate and below is rainfall accumulation during the month and week. You can see that there is no precipitation recorded at the end due to snowfall.
Wind
November has been pretty much the same as October was in terms of the average wind speed of..... The strongest wind gust was 18.4m/s ( 41.15 mph) on the 15th of Nov during a stormy event.
The first half of the month saw the majority of the winds coming from the south and the second half from the southeast. The above graph shows you wind speeds and below is the wind direction.
Air Pressure
Air pressure has been generally lower during the first half of November, with as low as 999.4hPa, nothing remarkable. The end of the month has seen a drastic rise in air pressure getting as high as 1038.8hPa and rising.
I love that we have snow on the ground now. Usually, November is quite an ugly month with black ground and gray nature and sky, snow really makes things more cheerful. It's not often that the first snow stays that long. In addition to the snow, the temperatures at the start of the month made November be out of an ordinary month this time.
Don't forget to submit your guess for the weather game in the comments below for the maximum temperature of December. Let's see who wins 10 HIVE this time.
