OK y'all we're back with another round of this random acts of kindness challenge! We only had one entry last time, so your odds are apparently pretty good if you enter. ;)
How To Enter
Do a random act of kindness. Some ideas:
- Do a #cleanplanet litterwalk and pick up garbage littering in your neighborhood
- Boost someone else's post with #ecency points (pro tip: make sure it's a quality post and within the first 24 hours!)
- Do an #artabandonment project where you make cool art and leave it anonymously for someone to find (it helps to leave a note so people know they can take it)
- bake some goodies for your neighbors, coworkers, or classmates
- give money or food to someone who is homeless and/or hungry
- Buy an NFT For Peace on #hivebuzz to support mutual aid for Ukranians
- Volunteer somewhere
- Knit, crochet, sew for a stranger: blankets through Project Linus for sick and traumatized children, cat or dog blankets for shelter animals, making warm hats, scarves, socks, and mittens or gloves for homeless folks out in the cold, cancer caps for people going through chemo, etc. Making regular holiday gifts for friends and family that you might be doing anyway doesn't count for this, the idea is to do it for someone you don't know! :)
- Write a letter to elders who are lonely and could use some cheer through lettersagainstisolation.com or loveforourelders.org (show me proof that you did this but make sure not to post any addresses online!!). LAI has recipients in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and Israel, I assume people could ask from anywhere in the world but those are the requests I've seen. There are LOTS of languages you can write in (you can filter by language), especially here in the US. If you speak Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, Haitian Creole ...those are all ones I remember seeing requested!
Those are just some ideas, you can do a different random act of kindness if you want, just make sure it's a good one and not your normal holiday gift giving! :)
