Life is beautiful. We just have to appreciate the little things around us. Don't ask for what is not provided for; it will give you stress.
You can see green grasses around our place. Living in the countryside will give you both - it's good because you can have the fresh air, greeneries for free captures and viewing and the growing trees and shrubs around for personal use can be found, on the other hand, sometimes life is tough, people are farmers plowing their piece of land for daily consumptions and some are laborers in sugarcane plantation with low price salaries for wage earners. That's how life in the province is. Nevertheless, people are happy together with their families.
If I am stressed from work and personal matters, I always find myself walking around these lovely greeneries. Our house is a walking distance from this view where the cogon grasses were growing everywhere in our neighboring land. It's lovely to look at them when the flowers are plenty. Usually, during the summer season, the flowers were sprouting everywhere just like their mother plants.
These cogon grasses were very important to us because our families too were taming animals like cows and goats. If the farmers were very tired of doing things on their farm, some would place their animals on the ground to eat fresh cogon grass.
Walking to this beautiful scenery made me remember those days when I was young, I tried to work as a laborer on the sugarcane plantation during summer to have an allowance when the opening of classes started. We only had Php70.00 per day as a wage for our day-to-day activities but even if we had a lesser wage, we were happy receiving those little salaries.
Nowadays, there are only a few spaces used for sugarcane plantations. Some estate owners did not till the land anymore because of bankruptcy and other laborers were working already in other fields of work which gave more salaries and benefits.
It was a beautiful day with the sun almost setting down at the end of the sky. I feel the guts of playing with the clouds and the sun, posing here and there. The beautiful reflection of the sun on the cogon grasses gives a spectacular view around. How beautiful it is around! A place like this is what I always wanted - peace, blue sky, and green mountains on the opposite side. The tiredness you feel from the day of work will be replaced with comfort.
